Skillz delivers the 2012 Rap Up via MissInfo that appears on his new album “Thoughts Become Things” that’s out now. The Virginia emcee says he’s gracefully bowing out on doing the Rap Up’s every year & that this is his last & final album. Out of all of his annual year-end ‘Rap Ups’ he’s done over the years I enjoyed this one the least. Probably because I could sense his heart really wasn’t into doing them anymore. I guess we gotta to enjoy it for what it is. Thanks for the many years of of doing these Skillz. Ya Bish!

Frank Ocean created this song “Wiseman” specifically for the “Django Unchained” film that comes out tomorrow starring Jamie Foxx. Unfortunately director Quentin Tarantino says he was unable to find an adequate scene for the song to fit in the film so it was excluded. Frank Ocean appeared to express no hard feelings via his tumblr page as he mentioned that he thought the film was still “ill” without his song. He also has the words to the song posted on his tumblr page too if y’all want to peep it here. It’s a shame because the song sounds & feels very good. Deeply great emotional song where a large part of the beauty is in the songwriting.

The battle was between Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers artist Lil Snupe (from Louisiana) against Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson‘s Jaccpot artist Retro (from West Philly). Meek Mill and DeSean put up $10,000 each on their artist. While T.I., Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, Trae Tha Truth and T.I.’s cousin Rashad (who the movie ATL is based on). Everyone agreed to 5 rounds of rapping for the two artists. At the end, when all of the judges expressed why they chose Lil Snupe (Dream Chasers) the winner, DeSean Jackson left the room. No Problem. The Young Gunz, Freeway, and Memphis Bleek repped the family well.
