Diamond D – ‘Superman’ (Video)

Diamond D officially drops a brand new video for ‘Superman’ off of his ‘Diam Piece’ album that’s out now. DJ Scratch, who produced the track, also makes a cameo appearance in this joint shot in Atlanta & directed by my homies Nick Burnz & Amond Jackson. Don’t sleep on that ‘Diam Piece’ album because there’s quite a number of bangers we still rock out to on my radio show.

Pharoahe Monch & Diamond D’s “Rap Life” Tops Snoop’s “Underground Heat” Weekly Countdown (Video)

Snoop has that banging GGN Network. We knew that, but this is a show of a whole other kind. No frills, no jokes, no industry bullsh!t. Underground Heat – a show that is all about the music! Snoop Dogg hosting; sharing his top 10 videos. The top 3 vids and a throwback vid of the week get full play, while snips of the rest are shown. Very dope format! And yes… You (or an emcee you know) can also submit your own videos via the website – But come correct… the #1 video this episode is a BEAST! It’s that Pharoahe Monch feat. Diamond D – “Rap Life” we posted on here a bit ago.

Congrats, gentlemen! And respect to all the homies involved including Amond Jackson from Salem Psalms Library who co-directed the flick with Deacon the Villain.

Pharoahe Monch feat. Diamond D – “Rap Life” (Video)

Brand new video from Pharoahe Monch for the Diamond D produced banger “Rap Life”. I was fortunate to be able to see this video well before it was released thanks to my homie Amond Jackson from Salem Psalms Library who co-directed the flick with Deacon the Villain.  The video features a quite a number of noteworthy cameos including dope west coast producer Alchemist but what stands out to me are the number of talented FEMALE DJs, visual artists, emcees, producers who make cameos in the clip.  Visual artist & photographer Ree Swa is seen holding the Japanese sword in the video while critically respected female emcees such as Jean Grae, Boog Brown, &  Stahhr make ‘Rap Life’ appearances as well as my homegirl, model & true school hip hop head, Miss Serena AZ who’s seen holding the guns in the clip.  Be on the lookout for Diamond D’s upcoming project ‘The Diam Piece’ as well as Pharoahe Monch’s upcoming project “P.T.S.D” (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)” with the latter being out to tax you on April 15th.  Pharoahe Monch’s project may have very few features for the conceptually based project, however Diamond D’s background primarily as a producer should require him to have a lengthy guestlist that will include Fat Joe, Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Elzhi, Smif-N-Wessun, Hi-Tek, Ras Kass, Kurupt, Camp Lo, & more.  Peep some behind-the-scenes photos from the video shoot & trailers to both Pharaohe Monch’s & Diamond D’s upcoming projects below….

Hazewerth – “JugLife Too”

Hazewerth of the production duo The Dynamite Bruhz waited 2 years before releasing the sequel to his seminal album JugLife, his musical interpretation of big jugs of liquor and good times. The new project JugLife Too is a combination of R&B vibes and hip hop blaps featuring Substantial, Willie Evans Jr, Sha Stimuli, Scottie Spitten of H.I.S.D., Yamin Semali, Phene, Civil Writes, Know:juander, Chosen, and Dj Deliver.

Various Artists – “Wrath of the Siafu” (Prod. By Dynamite Bruhz) [Video]

Dynamite Bruhz on the track. DJ Presyce on the cut. Recorded and Mixed by Amond Jackson for Salem Psalms. Now all we need is to sprinkle in a bunch of quality ATL emcees and this “Wrath of the Siafu” will be done… a perfect hook to put folks on to the Soundtrack and movement. Oh, that’s what they did… with a FREE download… and a W. Feagins, Jr. video? Okay then.

‘If Hip Hop was a hurricane, then Wrath of the Siafu would be positioned somewhere in the eye of the storm. Wrath of the Siafu, the first single release off of the Organizing is the New Cool Soundtrack is a perfect example of the underlying theme of the documentary film. This thunderous anthem is an amalgamation of 11 of Atlanta’s heaviest hitting independent artists who lyrically ambush a hardcore instrumental that will leave the avid Hip Hop connoisseur begging for more! The Dynamite Bruhz produced track features a who’s who of internationally respected underground emcees including: StaHHr, Mike Flo, members of The Liuns Den and Craig “Flux” Singleton (co-producer of the film). This is a guaranteed Hip Hop Classic.’
