Trip to the White House for the National Champions. Yuuup.
Unforgettable dinner. Yuuup.
They had McDonald’s. Nooooo! Whaaaat in the Ray Kroc is goings on here??? They could have had that ‘dinner’ on the way there. On the way back home to Clemson. At home, in Clemson, while ‘face-timing’ with the President and not even making the f**king trip!

Guess this is all the Prez can afford for now… what with the shutdown and such. Womp waah…

Wow. Just wow… And now it’s time for Shuler King to roast The Donald

Food: McDonald’s In Mexico Has Tastier Menu Items Than In U.S. Franchises? (Video)

I’m saying though: A lot of this does look good af. Don’t think I would go as gaga over McD’s potato wedges. We can get good wedges in the states, just not at Mickey D’s. And I’m cool with that.

The Founder (Trailer)

Always heard this story told and retold (usually as part of an Amway pitch… no shots, just saying). Very interesting though, never thought of Ray Kroc as such a shark. Check out this trailer for “The Founder,” starring Michael Keaton.

The story of McDonald’s founder, Ray Kroc.

Long way from Batman movies for Keaton. Looks good.

Ultimate Industry Insider Steve Stoute And Kaz Speak On TheStashed.com, Making Music & Marketing History And More (Video)

Steve Stoute – mogul, music exec, mover-and-shaker – has partnered with Kaz of TheStashed.com and they are making a late major move, taking the online presence over to the print industry. Interesting, very interesting, as the media world seems to be moving off-page to online (e.g. the opposite direction). But we MUST hear these guys out; especially Stoute. Why?? Don’t tell us you don’t know about Stout’s marketing agency Translation LLC, the origin story of the tagline/jingle for McDonald’s “I’m Loving It” campaign, the State Farm ads…

Hmmm… if not, it would seem you have some Googling to do. But wait-wait. You can do a LOT of catch-up by just watching this interview (above). There is SO much more to tell, too. Hear these folks tell it!

Employee Calls Out McDonald’s President On Poverty Wages (Video)

YEAH! McDonald’s worker Nancy Salgado got ’em so shook they called the cops! Damn shame it has to come to this though.

Great story from NPR’s website. Watch the embedded clip that has gone viral this week, with the help of Fight For 15 – a fast-food workers’ campaign aimed at raising hourly wages to $15. Salgado shouts to Jeff Stratton, president of McDonald’s USA, who was standing at a podium in a ballroom giving a talk:

“It’s really hard for me to feed my two kids and struggle day to day. Do you think this is fair, that I have to be making $8.25 when I have worked for McDonald’s for 10 years?”

Stratton’s response:

“I’ve been there 40 years.”

Wow.

McDonald’s Going Meatless?

McDonald’s is the biggest burger chain in the world, in part, because it knows how to give the customers what they want. That said, we might say “about damn time” to vegetarian options on Mickey D’s menu, right? Well… hold your lettuce, pickles, and onions, my friend. No one is saying McD’s will offer vegetarian menu items…worldwide…yet. However, Businessweek has reported that the burger chain’s locations in India will serve only vegetarian food because of customer preferences in the region. While there are only 250 (out of 33,000-plus) McDonald’s locations in India, this is a huge step: To go from just “not serving beef or pork” to becoming completely vegetarian. Of course, the chain is taking the huge step in hopes of making huge gains:

A 2006 poll found that about 40 percent of Indians do not eat meat, and McDonald’s is eager to tap that 500-million-strong market.

I got no beef with McDonald’s over this. Good business move. But keep my Mighty Wings on the menu over here in the States… and bring back that McRib sandwich pronto! Yes… That will complete my order.
