Sammy Gezus finally lets loose his video to his single Freddy Krueger. The wave of Up state Hip-Hop is rapidly taking over and Sammy is showing the world that Syracuse has Top Tier spitters and they are a force to be reckoned with. Sammy Gezus went and got his Gawd Sqwad brother veteran MC Taj Mahal to lay down some grit and grime over this ruff track produced by the Sypooda. Keep your eye out for these guys.

Okay, I learned of Alexis Renee and her industry moves a few years back by listening to The Remix. She’s nice with hers. She was back on the show this past weekend (link to the interview audio, via earlier post, below). Now, I’ve come across her in person, too, but when I did, she was so low-key it was like a don’t-bother-me-now-son vibe. Intimidating in a way. But I gotta push past all that. Dope music like this helps; giving me courage (wink).

Popa Wu, the longtime Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and spiritual mentor to the group, has died, a representative for the Wu-Tang Clan confirmed to Rolling Stone. While no cause of death was given, according to The Source, Popa Wu — who was also known as Freedum Allah — died at his home in Brooklyn. He was 63.
