Her particular brand of soul comes through on this track, entitled “Eye See You.” Her smooth voice delivering those not-to-be-messed-with lyrics over Willie Mitchell’s horns is kind of hot. Alotta brothas, including myself, were hating on this dude for locking down the beautiful singer Chante Moore back in the 90s, but I’m hearing in 2012 they are no longer together. Maybe a breakup was the perfect time for Kenny Lattimore to “Find A Way” back in the studio & produce some new R&B records for his upcoming album “Back To Cool”. Meanwhile many brothas are gonna try to find their way to Chante Moore in hopes that she could use some comforting these days…..

Now this joint is appears to be an original song unlike the Aretha Franklin “Day Dreaming” remake she let loose on the web last week for #TweetTuesday. I’m feeling this joint right here & may have to add it to my itunes slow jam playlist. Another quality record that will have people looking forward to her next full-length project to be released on the L.A. based Dubose Music Group.

I’m not sure where the name comes from or what it stands for but I’m very familiar with the talents of both of them as individuals so I’m not surprised that this spacey soulful joint is nothing but quality. New music from Frank Ocean called “Pyramids.” This 10 minute track goes through a variety of changes & transitions unlike the majority of R&B records out today. Not surprisingly this is one of a few small details that allow Frank Ocean to standout amongst the clutter of male R&B artists trying to get a grip on the game by trying too hard without any real FEELING. Frank’s first official debut album “Channel Orange” is due July 17th….

This video is definitely not safe for work as Erykah Badu’s sister Nayrock gets bucky nekkid in this this visually erotic yet odd artistic clip. One of my favorite DJs in Atlanta & souful producer DJ Kemit continues to amaze me with his work. The homie just celebrated his birthday not too long ago with a big party here in Atlanta, but how did I miss this new joint called “Funky 8-Ball” featuring Frank McComb on the keys that he recently released? Apparently the track will serve as a teaser of what’s to come from his upcoming album “Everlasting” due July 17th. The title to Kemit’s upcoming album couldn’t be anymore appropriate because the brotha has been doing it all from touring, producing, & working with damn near every R&B artist with soul in some capacity for almost two decades. I’m gonna have to hit the homie up on his twitter to give him props for keeping the soul going….
