Kendrick Lamar – “Loyalty.” feat. Rihanna (Video)

Watch. What’ll get your heart racing faster… ever sexy and sexier RiRi or K. Dot hanging her off the side of a sky rise in his visual for “Loyalty.” Insanely good. Good insanity. The visuals, the depth of the song, everything!

Kendrick Lamar Lists His All Time Top Five (Video)

Jay Z, Eminem, 2Pac, Biggie, and Snoop Dogg. Mighty powerful list for a guy that is NOT big on such lists. And yes, he was aware that Nas was not on his list… just missed the cut.

Kendrick Lamar runs down his list of his top 5 all time favorite rappers, living or dead.
– Power 106 Los Angeles

Great clip! See a much longer interview after the jump where K. Dot talks about his latest album (“DAMN.”), his insatiable hunger for Hip-Hop, the passing of Prodigy (of Mobb Deep) and more.

Kendrick Lamar – “ELEMENT.” (Prod. By Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith x Dave Free x Jannis Birsner) [Video]

It’s a difference between Black artists and wack artists.

Daaamn! K. Dot is hot about something or other in this vid. Guess he’s tired of telling mutha-shut-yo-moufs to be “Humble” and just got to slapping blood out dudes’ mouths. Very visceral visuals as a vehicle to present some more definitely dope music from Kendrick Lamar. Music produced by Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, Dave Free, and Jannis Birsner. Fresh off Kendrick’s “DAMN.”

(That part where they dropped the beat and Kendrick flowed like Juvenile in “Ha” was particularly dope!)

Future – “Mask Off” feat. Kendrick Lamar (Remix)

Not gonna ask if you’ve been checking for that Future joint “Mask Off” since it came out. In the end, among us folks on here, the argument ends up being fruitless. However, a K. Dot appearance on a remix to “Mask Off”… we can talk about that… after y’all listen.

And yeah, Kendrick snapped!

Kendrick Lamar – “DAMN.” (Album Stream)

K-Dot’s Damn album is all him. Only three tracks even allow another soul to say a Damn thing. And while there are a few scant ‘reviewers’ who have found something to hate about this recent Kendrick campaign, most (including most likely you) have nothing but kudos for Lamar’s latest – “DAMN”.

KENDRICK LAMAR – DAMN.

Kendrick Lamar – “Humble” (Video)

Lots of conjecture about who Kendrick is talking to, telling ’em shut up and be “Humble” and such. If no names are called, no responses are called for… How about we all just enjoy the crazy that is trademark K-Dot? Includes some insane special effects. But please believe theres a generous drizzling of thick Honeyz in here, too!

Kendrick Lamar – “The Heart” (Part 4)

So, K. Dot decided that now was the time to set fire to Hip-Hop with a rhyme! And this “The Heart” (Part 4) is fiery to be sure (iTunes-linked below). Listening makes you wonder if those shots, jabs and hooks were aimed at specific people or just sucka archetypes. Break it down and let it be broke, Kendrick. Name names!

(The beat changeups though!)

Kendrick Lamar On Life, Living And The Pursuit Of God (Video)

You want a follow-up to to “To Pimp A Butterfly” don’t you? Well, you at least wish someone (like the NY Times) would ask about it, right? Wish granted. The above video is the NY Times On Set with the Compton emcee talking about content for that and a bit more. Peep.

Also some extra insights from his conversation with the T Magazine folks (from NY Times).

“I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork. ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ was addressing the problem. I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore. We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God. Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.”

Then again, dude was probably just letting the fun flow. We’ve all been there; ‘in sync’ with the stereo making a singing noise that may or may not be joyful. Ha! Noisey Bompton: Growing Up With Kendrick Lamar (Part 1) [Video]

Surely you did not think it was a game when we said that Kendrick Lamar said he would rep Compton for life, did you? He got the Key To The City and he’s still locked in! Well, Noisey is dropping six parts of proof for the last one or two of you doubters out there. Yep, VICELAND Noisey sent one of their Whitest reporters out to the Blood side of Compton (that’s Bompton) to talk to K.Dot and give us perspective on the hood love he gets now and what it was like “Growing up with Kendrick Lamar.” Hood pass granted!

Compton, California, is one of Hip-Hop’s most celebrated locales, the birthplace of acts like N.W.A. and, more recently, Kendrick Lamar. It’s also home to a complicated gang culture. ‘Noisey Bompton’ centers around Kendrick Lamar and the friends he grew up with on the West Side of Compton, many of whom feature on the cover of his album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly.’ In the first of six segments, we sit down with Kendrick to talk about his acclaimed albums, pay a visit to his high school, Centennial, and get to know his childhood friend Lil L.
