Alchemist – “Shut The F#ck Up” (Not Safe For Work Version) [Video]
Man, hurry up and hit play before the powers that be take this one down, too. We put as many screen shots (after the jump) up to capture the Alchemist’s insanity for this “Shut The F#ck Up” (Not Safe For Work Version). It’s real short and NOT sweet… but should definitely pique your interest for the coming instrumental album “Rapper’s Best Friend 3” (due out September 30, 2014; pre-order available on iTunes now).

R&B: Jessie Ware – “Kind Of…Sometimes…Maybe” feat. Miguel
That basic sexy number. Like that elegant black evening dress you like the look of. UK’s Jessie Ware delivers that; especially on this “Kind Of…Sometimes…Maybe” (featuring Miguel; but pay attention ’cause he is really subdued with his vocalizing on there). “Tough Love” (LP) will be out worldwide by October 21, 2014.
Sango – “When I’m Around U†(Instrumental)
Okay… this is what we got out of nowhere from the often enigmatic Sango sharing “When I’m Around U”… Song of Solomon 2:10-13. So, we Googled.
- 10 My beloved speaks and says to me:
- “Arise, my love, my beautiful one,
- and come away,
- 11 for behold, the winter is past;
- the rain is over and gone.
- 12 The flowers appear on the earth,
- the time of singing has come,
- and the voice of the turtledove
- is heard in our land.
- 13 The fig tree ripens its figs,
- and the vines are in blossom;
- they give forth fragrance.
- Arise, my love, my beautiful one,
- and come away.
That’s it. Vibe and meditate on love this day. Enjoy this instrumental sermonette from Sango…

Cormega – “Rise” feat. Maya Azucena (Prod. By Large Professor)
Large Pro and Cormega’s album “Mega Philosophy” ought to be pretty beastly (posted earlier on it, see the link below). Two Hip-Hop vets make for a good bet. Here’s another taste test of it: “Rise” (featuring Maya Azucena). Don’t you enjoy the feel of a joint when everybody feels the joint… when the beatmaker stops and marvels as he shares his own genius (start of the video)? Yeah, you do. This is that. Watch and listen as all involved do their thing on the track.

Cristopher Schafer (Visually Inklined) captures like… everything, right? Well, at least for the frames involved in Vinyl Destination episodes and Dayne Jordan’s latest music videos. This short and sweet has Dayne injecting a deadly Dosage on the beat produced by DJ Ferno (see him and Dayne on a couple of Jazzy Jeff’s Vinyl Destinations). Talking ‘Bout Biggie And More: NBA’s John Starks Has Answers For ESPN’s ‘Highly Questionable’ (Video)
This episode of ESPN’s Highly Questionable will be highly memorable for one reason: Starks stuck to the ‘G’ Code… No snitching! Former NBA standout John Starks declares that Notorious B.I.G.’s song “I Got A Story To Tell” was not about him. It was about one of his New York Knicks teammates… You can guess all you want though… ’cause Starks will NOT speak on it!
But watch the whole video though. Memories and chuckles shared by the bag boy turned pro baller Starks.

The Hip-Hop version of The Clash?? Yep. And Rick Rubin would be the one to tell us about it in Back And Forth (Part 3). Get some gems and jewels about earrrly Chuck D, the founding and shaping of Public Enemy as an act (that would go on to enter the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame… and rock on ‘The Tonight Show’ the other night) from Rubin and Russell Simmons. Great stuff!

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of new technologies for use by the military, is at again! Above is video of The Cheetah 2 – MIT research funded by DARPA – capable of running 10 mph and jumping more than a foot over stuff. You’ll see all that above. Not only in a sterile lab; but out and about in the school’s yard. Not in the jungle… yet. But near-term applications like improvements in human prostheses; not jungle warfare… yet.
