Technology: StickNFind – The Bluetooth Device That Will End ‘Lost & Found’ (Video)

Amazing! Check out the video above. Bluetooth-powered StickNFind locator stickers have been developed to be small (about the size of a quarter), handy (can be affixed to anything you’d lose – from the TV remote to your luggage), and ready just in time for Christmas… 2013. Hahaaaaa!

But seriously, this is good tech. Via smartphone interface, you can track up to 20 objects at once. Check that… you can track your pet, too (with a StickNFind placed on its collar). And its real tech, not theoretical:

‘The group behind StickNFind is still raising money to put the gadget into production, but if they meet their $70,000 funding goal on crowdfunding website Indiegogo, the stickers are set to roll out in March 2013.’

Earl Sweatshirt – “Chum” (Video)

Those Odd Future cats (like Earl) stay on some… well… oddness. This Earl Sweatshirt joint “Chum” is odd… and dark. Appropriately (and literally), so is the video. No reason not to get the point. And you can ‘get’  the track off iTunes right now.

Homeboy Sandman – “Richardsun” (Prod. by Rthentic)

Why should Homeboy Sandman stay stateside just because he’s working an album -  “First of a Living Breed” -  over here in the USA? Why not go & release something via a German outfit? Check out “Richardsun” (produced by Rthentic).

‘This is from a split 7-inch single from Homeboy Sandman & Jaylib released with the Germany Hip-Hop shop HHV.de to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Only 300 copies are being pressed – we had just a few available here at Stones Throw which came and went in under 12 hours. Records will ship on the week of December 17.

Side 1 – “Richardsun” – a new, exclusive track by Homeboy Sandman produced by Rthentic RTNC. Side 2 is a Jaylib remix that Madlib did on one of his remix binges, previously released on Jaylib’s Champion Sound Deluxe CD.’

Jamall Bufford – “10,000” (Produced by 14KT)

Ann Arbor got something for the heads. Indie vet Jamall Bufford (formerly known as Buff1) jumped on this 14KT-produced track to make a strong Hip-Hop showing of how Michigan represents. The result is “10,000” and it’s good. And did 14KT flip that old school jam “Tomorrow” by then teenie bopper Tevin Campbell? Damn right he did. Nice! Get a copy of your own today… FREE… right here.

Comedy: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Parody (Video)

This is the most I’ve watched of that minstrel television show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. I just flat out refuse to watch that garbage show, but I have to agree with The Roots’ Questlove who mentioned via his twitter page that it’s safe to assume this comedic spoof is what the show is really all about. Check out this comedic spoof of the TV show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta starring Miguel Nunez, Verne “Mini Me” Troyer, Lunell, Essence Atkins, Buck Wild, Reginald “Bra Man” Ballard & many more directed by Devin Hampton.

Al’tarba x Lord Lhus – “Welcome to Hell” (Video)

Straight from Crazy Motherfuck#r Records… STOP! That oughta be enough to tell you how crazy this duo is coming already. No? Okay…

Maybe you knew Paris brought the beat like this. Well, if not you do now. French producer Al’tarba teams up with South Carolina emcee and underground collabo king Lord Lhus on “Welcome to Hell” (video above). Subtle, right? Not hardly. It’s good that these two found each other while reaching out overseas throughout the earlier years of their careers (Al’tarba drawing heavy influence and beat work from the U.S.A. and Lord Lhus having hit up German producers Snowgoons and others across the Atlantic). They are both as dark as any grindhouse film, and they seem to be eager to show us with the “Welcome to Hell” joint (video by Dark Energy Pictures). Check it. And check for the duo’s album – “Acid and Vicious” (due out February 23, 2013)… and keep checking Lord Lhus’ website for the 2013 tour.

Mz. Joi – “Dreamchasers” (Video)

Been watching Mz. Joi for a minute. For years, she’s been on the set doing her thing… EVERYthing… video production assistance, wardrobe, makeup, modeling, hooks, freestyles, rhyming writtens and singing and then some! Her hometown’s (Birmingham) music scene was been better for her presence, but now, having made the move to Atlanta… she may be overdue to ride out big. And this joint (video above) may well be the vehicle. “Dreamchasers” shows that Mz. Joi’s got the goods.

Bonus: Check after the jump (after you peep the vid above) to see Mz. Joi rep the A-State one more time before moving to A-Town to tear it down!

I’ve been many places around the world & plan on seeing new ones in 2013. In this particular episode actor Laz Alonzo takes us on a tour of Rio De Janiero, Brasil which is one of my favorite spots to go in the world.  I’ve visited Brasil several times in my life & I’ve been to every spot in this video Laz is hosting & narrating.  I’ve even taken the helicopter tour above the city more than once. There’s two parts to this video that autoplays right after the next one…

Marley Marl Recreates The ‘Classic Recipe’ For “Eric B. Is President” by Eric B. & Rakim (Video)

Damn! Has it been 25 years already?? Guess so. But what was dope then will be dope again… especially the way Marley Marl put it down on “Eric B. Is President!” Check out the super producer putting together another ‘Classic Recipe’ in the video above!

‘In the second installment of Marley Marl “Classic Recipes,” he shows you how he produced “Eric B. Is President” in 1986, the debut single for legendary hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim. Marl talks about meeting Rakim for the first time and discusses the collaborative process with Eric B. that would yield one of the most influential Hip-Hop tracks ever. “Eric B. Is President” combines a bassline from Fonda Rae’s bonafide 1982 club hit “Over Like a Fat Rat” and a beat from James Brown’s 1974 hit “Funky President.”

– DubSpot

‘Limitations made us who we are.’ (Marl spoke truth with that…speaking on making a CLASSIC with only 4 tracks. No high tech; just superior SKILLS!)
