The official D.I.T.C. emcee, DJ, & producer Diamond D’s new album the ‘Diam Piece’ has been one of my favorites to have dropped in 2014. After dropping the new video ‘Only Way 2 Go’ featuring Pete Rock just a number of days ago, Diamond D takes it out to the West Coast for new visuals to ‘It’s Magic’ featuring the dual threat of Alchemist & Evidence who are literally ‘laying it down’ in the streets of Los Angeles.

The Cali emcee Fashawn releases a brand new video to prep fans for the upcoming release of his upcoming EP with Alchemist called “FASH-ionably Late” that’s due December 18th. The single & video features Evidence who also directed the clip. Fashawn is ‘FASH-ionably late’ in finishing 2014 strong but he’s gearing up for an even better 2015 now that he’s signed to Nas under the Mass Appeal Records label where he’ll release his next full-lenth project entitled ‘The Ecology’.

Technology: Criminals Caught In the DNA Fog (Video)

Impeccable timing! I read about ‘DNA Fog’ a while ago in Businessweek, and now there’s a YouTube video on it.
Law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and the U.K. will have a new crime-fighting weapon at their disposal. Ever watched Law & Order, CSI, or some other crime drama series? Then you know a bit about how DNA might be gathered and used to catch criminals. Looks pretty complicated, right? And ‘smart’ criminals always seem to know not to leave DNA behind. Well, Applied DNA Sciences touts that its DNA Fog will thwart criminals’ efforts to get away or get away with it in court. The company’s tech rapidly fills a room/area with a fog that may confuse a robber or batterer… but the big innovation has to do with forensics. Criminals will have a much harder time raising reasonable doubt because the fog also genetically marks them, covering them with DNA evidence. The DNA Fog’s genetic material sticks tenaciously to clothes and skin and won’t wash out or off for weeks. The Fog will be uniquely customized for a location using it, so that a simple test will reveal that an offender was at a particular crime scene when the Fog was sprayed. Genius!

Phonte drops a brand new video from one of my favorite songs from his “Charity Starts At Home” album that’s out now. If you paid attention to this website regularly you’d see we’ve been rocking that ‘Life Of Kings’ phrase in the masthead area of the site for a while now. The usual suspects of Kenneth Price in the director’s chair & 9th Wonder on the production of the track itself are involved, but when you add in Evidence Phonte’s Mama & Big K.R.I.T. you can’t go wrong. By far one of my favorite hip hop songs in recent years….Niiiiiiice.
