Raekwon – “Purple Brick Road” feat. G-Eazy (Video)

Fine feminines, fly fashion & linens, shots of homies and women taking shots in sky-high tenements. It ain’t bragging if it’s true, and it ain’t trickin’…never!

Damn. This new project that Raek is putting down looks like something worth picking up. This is the second banger off “The Wild” we’ve posted in as many months. Click play and follow the “Purple Brick Road” (featuring G-Eazy) on some ole HBO ‘Power’ ish. Dope!

Raekwon – “This Is What It Comes Too” (Video)

One word to describe my grind, son, I’m SERIOUS!

Look at the cover art for Raekwon’s forthcoming LP, “The Wild.” Looking like Kraven The Hunter, dude is definitely collecting heads AGAIN! So, ‘protect ya neck’ AGAIN… from the beats and lyrics! “This Is What It Comes Too” is too dope to simply reference as album track two. It’s the lead single off the project (available for download now with pre-order). Plenty of raw red meat. Fresh kill on the Serengeti. Raekwon’s hunt begins. Anything wack, dead that.

iSHi – “We Run” feat. French Montana x Wale x Raekwon (Video)

Adding Wale to an already solid line-up was a risk that paid off. Still, let The Chef eat last though. Raekwon is always a good anchor. And iSHi having those two and French Montana on a BOOM-bap (with lots of ‘boom’) is a great look and sound. Purposefully gritty visualization of “We Run” above. Watch and enjoy.

Raekwon speaking on how a business opportunity led to the design of his Diadora N9000 shoes. See the interview above with him at the release event. Raekwon Describes His Hood Hero Character ‘King Kwon’ (Video)

Now Kendrick’s superhero character ‘Hardbody’ was dope, but The Wu Chef took it up a step. Raekwon described his hero persona, King Kwon, as the dude who is always around and always looking out. Armed with Hater Spray and the Upgrade Spray, King Kwon would stand ready to convert haters (or have his super partner Eraser Head ‘wipe them out’ if they’re suckas) and help out deserving folks in the hood who are trying to do for self. Cool premises and super teamwork. Nice! Enjoy this animation-enhanced episode of “Super…” featuring Raekwon.

Raekwon Speaks On His Classic Song ‘Criminology’ & Various Beat Samples (Video)

Historical and real. Starting from part 1 of this multi-part series. Raekwon speaking on how songs came together for Wu-Tang Clan back in the day; especially recounting how he was there to grab the beat for his classic “Criminology” from RZA right ‘off the stove’ at the home studio (because if he wasn’t, someone else would…that’s just how the wolves ate in the studio)!

That’s just the beginning. Check out all this good content; a series of shorts that start above and continue after the jump.

Raekwon – “1, 2 1, 2″ feat. Snoop Dogg (Prod. By Scoop DeVille) [Video]

Bang, bang, BANGER! Raekwon’s “1, 2 1, 2” (featuring Snoop Dogg) dropped hard as hell already. Now, the dope visual follow up is the finishing hitter-quitter combo blow. Track speed of Scoop Deville’s beat matched by Zac Facts’ video work. What a match-up in every way! How did they do it? Well, the behind-the-scenes teaser after the jump might give you some idea. But off the top, let’s call it raw talent in the booth, on the beat and in front and behind the camera. This is Hip-Hop!

(…with the Eye Candy, good smoke, Dame Dash wildin’ everywhere, AND Raider gear… this joint has EVERYTHING!)

Rewind: Raekwon Trains A Young ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’ Mayweather In His “100 Rounds” Clip (Video)

It’s wild how I almost forgot that a young ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather before he was ‘Money Mayweather’, appeared in this ‘100 Rounds’ video from Raekwon’s sophomore album “Immobilarity.”   A key thing I observed in replaying the video was scenes of Floyd Mayweather chopping wood as part of his early exercise routine.  In a recent interview with Stephen A. Smith he mentioned how he had to get back to the exercise he had all but abandoned prior to signing on to fight Manny Pacquiao in what will undoubtedly be the biggest fight of his career.  Pretty Boy Floyd’s boxing record was 4-0 at the time the video was shot & his fellow boxing homie at the time, Zab Judah, also makes a cameo in the video as well.  Raekwon definitely was ahead of his time in picking winners. If he’s feeling lucky out in Vegas he may want to put some down on Mayweather again. (Ghostface Voice) “Cash in son! Cash in!” Hahaaa….Wow! Funny how time flies man.

Last week, repping the Wu-Tang hard, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah took the stage and did the damn damage at the 2015 Coachella Festival! The crowd had the W’s up before the show even started. And when it did, even the DJ (Scram Jones) had to take a phone pic. Heads are almost guaranteed to lose their sh!t by the time “Incarcerated Scarfaces” comes up. Raekwon With A Wu-Tang Memory: A Push-Up Competition With ODB… After Smoking Dust (Video)

You know how blogs try to jazz up the titles and bylines to get readers to come read posts. Well, there was not much “jazzing” to do on this one. It’s Raek, talking Wu-Tang, specifically ODB… remembering when he, Dirty B and a gang ‘o ninjas got down with some “dust” then got down on the floor and knocked out thousands of pushups. Fitness plan for your a$$ to be certain! Wow.
