The UK singer links up with another ‘American Boy’ by way of Miami for this new track produced by DJ Don Cannon. The combination of the Bawse Rick Ross, the production, & Estelle’s vocals seem to mesh well for this joint. It’s her first single from her third album entitled ‘All Of Me’ scheduled to drop this year.

Raphael Saadiq – ‘Good Man’ (Theory Edit)

Raphael Saadiq’s standout track ‘Good Man’ from his current ‘Stone Rollin’ album was already a great soulful song with an equally as good video, but DJ Theory put a nice spin on it with this remix/Re-edit that will give more hip hop & dance oriented DJs reason to spin the song as well. Although I primarily do a hip hop show, I’m playing this on the Beatz & Lyrics Show this Saturday night! Raphael Saadiq should get a Ghostface verse & make this an official remix! This is hot!

Yo I was ready to laugh & clown at this joint because I thought it would be similar to one of those rap parodies like the acoustic version of ‘Straight Out Of Compton’ that Nina Gordon covered, but instead of laughing I was left in awe. This girl Karmin killed this cover of Chris Brown’s ‘Look At Me Now’ featuring Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne. 95% of rap artists can’t keep up with the nimble lyrical flow of Busta Rhymes in any capacity but this chick right here kills it! Rappers need to step their game up because anytime an assumed novice like this chick Karmin can body a flow as well as Busta then the game truly is over. Wow!!! The legendary Prince Nelson Rogers appeared on ‘Lopez Tonight’ & straight killed it! I watched it twice last night after it aired the first time. Prince & his band The New Power Generation will embark on a 21 day tour in L.A. beginning today & last night on the Lopez Tonight Show they really did set it off with a bang! George Lopez had me rollin’ though when he called Prince his ‘Puerto Rican’ brother from another mother. George Lopez be always trying to make someone an honorary Latino! Hahaa! Chris Brown comes back with a visual freestyle to the ‘My Last’ joint that was released with him & Big Sean. Glad to see the kid changed that hairstyle back to black & rocking the African medallions. That’s wasup! Looks like Chris Brown is getting his stuff together & is pulling it all back together again. One thing that’s hard to ignore is the number of artists who are switching lanes professionally. R&B singers like Ryan Leslie, Chris Brown, & Trey Songz starting to rap now more than sing these days. Actors want to be DJs, DJs want to be rappers, Rappers want to be singers, & singers want to be rappers. I don’t mind it all as long as they study their respective crafts & are good what they do…..
