Ever say aloud, ‘Man. Why don’t they take it back to the ___ days’ about your fav emcees? Of course, you have. You probably said it about the Wu. Well, “Y’all Been Warned” … for real. Unreleased heat from Wu Tang Clan’s 2001 plate “Iron Flag”, a flashback to the Middle Age of the Shaolin.

Bonus: “A Better Tomorrow” (new album is coming out from the Wu crew) later this year. But for now, click the pic above and revel in the dopeness of this visual gem.

Science: What Happens To A Magnet Dropped Into A Copper Tube? (Video)

Tell you what. Watch this and tell me science isn’t cool. Dare you! What is happening to the magnet? TruthSeekerDaily explains:

When a magnet is dropped down a conducting copper pipe, it feels a resistive force (assuming that magnets have feelings). The falling magnet induces a current in the copper pipe and, by Lenz’s Law, the current creates a magnetic field that opposes the changing field of the falling magnet. Thus, the magnet is “repelled” and falls more slowly.

So, now you know the ‘trick.’ Does knowing make it any less cool? Nope!

Troy Ave – “Everything” feat. Pusha T (Produced By DJ Uneek) [Video]

How does a video start out looking evil… ominous red hue with skulls and sh!t? Like this Troy Ave “Everything” (featuring Pusha T). That raw rumble track by DJ Uneek helps maintain the vibe, too. All this, rough rugged lyrics and more like it on the Troy Ave project “New York City: The Album.” Shout to director Rob Dade for balancing the testosterone with honey shots in this vid.

“I Am Philadelphia”: Allen Iverson Reflects on his Career with the Philadelphia 76ers (Video)

Last night the Philadelphia 76ers retired future hall of famer Allen Iverson’s jersey number & it was a special night in the city. It was clear that A.I. embraced Philly just as much as we embraced him. Allen Iverson was a high profile athlete who repped my hometown, but he was the personification of what being from Philadelphia was all about. Tough, hardworking, blue collar, & fearless.

The L.O.X. – “New York City”

Damn this joint is a banger right here as Jadakiss, Styles P, & Sheek Louch get busy with the lyrics over this joint dedicated to ‘New York City’. Nice little lyrical appetizer before the trio hits the road to go on tour for several dates. Of course they begin their tour March 26 no where else but ‘New York City.’ This joint is ill! DEEEE-BLOCK!!!!

Schoolboy Q – “Break The Bank” (Prod. By Alchemist) [Video]

Schoolboy Q’s brand new Alchemist-produced banger ‘Break The Bank’ is one of my favorite hardcore hip hop songs out right now. Been banging the song on my radio show since the single dropped & now we have some new visuals, directed by Jason Goldwatch, to accompany the dreamy & almost nightmarish vibe of the song. No cameo from Alchemist in the clip, but the Raiders gear is a good nod to my favorite NFL team. This banger from the West Coast emcee & TDE affiliate is off of his ‘Oxymoron’ album that just dropped today on Interscope Records.

Stahhr – “On My Gonzales” feat. John Robinson x Ekundayo (Video)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STAHHR!

On My Gonzales” is Atlanta-based mc/lyrical alchemist/DOOM affiliate staHHr’s latest video from her “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season” album. Joined by lyrical heavyweights John Robinson (Scienz of Life) and Ekundayo (L.I.U.N.S. Den), the trio lace this Floyd the Locsmif track with clever wordplay, smooth delivery and quotables for days. The title of the song comes from a line in staHHr’s verse, where she coins the phrase “on my Gonzales” in reference to one “being focused, handling biz, doing their job, etc”. Director Nick Burnz interweaves elements of “Golden Era” hip hop with live performance footage, playing off of the organic energy of the song and the undeniable and familial chemistry of staHHr, JR and Ekundayo.”
