Politics: Hasan Minhaj On The Student Loan Debt Crisis (Video)
Yooo! There’s a game show to pay off student loans?? I need, like REALLY need to go out for that… and WIN! Mr. President, student loan debt is REAL national emergency (eff that wall thing). Hasan speaks on it.
With Americans’ student debt now over $1.5 trillion, Hasan looks at how the federal government turned the Department of Education into the largest bank in America in terms of loans, and examines the department’s relationship with loan servicers. These private financial companies have benefitted from Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’ hands-off regulation that has made it easy for students to become trapped in debt.

Mob James Speaks On Suge Knight, 2Pac, Death Row, Mob Piru, And Brother’s Murder (Video)
Wow. Mob James was there for it all and therefore has the pedigree to speak on all he is covering with Vlad. Full interview embedded above.
In this full interview, Mob James recounts his experience at Death Row Records, which involves eye-witness accounts of many of the legendary stories revolving around 2Pac and Suge Knight. Mob James recalls there being a penitentiary mindset at the record company, where employees were essentially afraid to come to work. Furthermore, he states that Suge Knight was ultimately loyal to nobody but himself, while later suggesting that 2Pac died by involving himself in something that he had nothing to do with.

After 10 Years Of Extraterrestrial Occupation, The Resistance Rises (Trailer)
Food for thought: That word ‘insurgency’ we hear in the news nowadays takes on a different meaning when WE are the insurgents, right? The colonialists that raised an army in America, eventually led by General George Washington… Brittain considered them insurgents (not ‘freedom fighters’ or the resistance that would ultimately give birth to the United States of America).
That said, I’m rooting for the insurgents in this “Captive State” trailer, and for the movie itself. Hope it smashes at the box office. Looks like some good popcorn chewing scarfing action!
Set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force, “Captive State†explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.

Dawn Richard – “sauce” (Prod. By Cole M.G.N. x Hudson Mohawke) [Video] (NSFW)
Oh my damn! Dawn Richard has undergone another full transformation into a “new breed” on us. I would say this video is sexy AF but that just doesn’t do it justice. So hot I am SWEATING! The concepts and the lyrics alone would get a Not Safe For Work rating, but then add the may-as-well-be-naked visuals and wowzerrrrs!
Don’t watch this “sauce” video at your desk. You have been warned.
Check out the Editor’s Note from iTunes on Dawn’s latest album after the jump… after you watch this a couple of times!

Naezy – “Bombay 70” (O.G iPad Version)
Nas opened the gates for Naezy (see earlier post here) to hop the big pond and put his feet down over here in the States and rep the Hip-Hop sound from where he’s from his way. Listen to “Bombay 70.”
This song was originally created in 2015 on an iPad by Naezy for Disha Rindani’s short documentary ‘Bombay – 70.’ Uploading this now for all the Khatri listeners. Enjoy!

Dave East – “My Momma Face” (Prod. By Jahlil Beats)
I’m way too complex to be f**king b!tches that’s basic.
On the grind, on the way up, East HAD to get his MONEY up… just to see that smile on his Momma’s Face. No time to waste – on THOTs, lame spots, or anything that was not bringing him CASH! Driven beat rapped over by a driven emcee with eyes and ears still out there where they feel his music: IN THE STREETS!
