Nas feat. Rick Ross – “Tower Heist” (Video)
The official video from Nas & Rick Ross for the movie “Tower Heist” starring Eddie Murphy & Ben Stiller makes its debut. Like Nas says….Even Donald Trump Can Get “Got”
The Roots – “Life, Love, & Loot”
Inspired by the Captain Morgan commercial campaign of “Life, Love, & Loot”, Philly’s finest The Roots flipped the musical theme of the liquor brand’s primary song into a dope ass joint with a great classic rock feel. Black Thought aka Tariq Trotter kills this joint on the vocals so well it sounds like he may have outdid Lenny Kravitz himself at his own signature vocal style. The song won’t appear on the The Roots upcoming album “undun” due December 6th, but damn this joint is dope even if for a commercial campaign. Check out the Spin Magazine article with Questlove regarding the project & listen to the track below. Some Behind The Scenes video after the jump…. Glasses Up!
Peedi Crakk x CyHi The Prynce – “God Bless The Lyrical”
Now this joint right here is pure dopeness over a classic hip hop instrumental with Philly’s finest Peedi Crakk & Atlanta’s own CyHi The Prynce demonstrating how ill they both are as emcees. Wack rappers with no type of flow or skill need to study this freestyle joint right here. This particular track is going to appear on Peedi Crakk’s upcoming mixtape “Crakk Files 4” in the near future. Until that drops I’m rewinding this joint right here as I type this….

Ne-Yo – “The Way You Move” feat. T-Pain & Trey Songz (Video)
I’m really diggin’ the visual aspects of this new Ne-Yo joint. All too often we see videos of artists spending money in the strip clubs, but this joint right here has a certain level of “James Bond” type of class to it. This makes every “average rapper in the strip club throwing money video” appear like a visual hole in the wall. By the interior of the building it looks like they shot this video here in Atlanta at the new Diamonds which is one of the newer strip clubs among a hundred of them around city. The video makes me dig the song even more…
Nesby Phips – “Changes” (Video)
Some of you rap artists are just lazy. My New Orleans homie Nesby Phips shot this new video for “Changes” straight off his iphone. The song will appear on this upcoming Phipstape: The Lockout due on November 14th that he spoke on in a previous video. That’s straight up like Phips man. The video captures him on the road, in the studio, & as a proud father. Nesby Phips…Producer, Emcee, Video Director, & all around hard worker. Nothing is gonna change for many of you other wack cats unless you get up off your ass & make some “Changes”.
Ambassador Rick – Fake Love (Pusha T Diss) [Video]
Not exactly sure to what extent & what the beef is about between Pusha T & his fellow Virginian Ambassador Rick, but dude didn’t waste much time after putting the Clipse brothas in his sights with the diss record before he followed up with this video. Despite it being a diss record aimed at Pusha T following his “Don’t F*ck With Me” freestyle, this “Fake Love” song comes off kinda dope. Now let’s get to the bottom of the he say she say shall we?
Future – “Tony Montana” (Video)
I never really dug this song until my 8 year old niece Amani used to make seriously funny faces while singing it whenever I was around. It doesn’t really fit what I do on my radio show, but my niece made me appreciate the song. I used to playfully give her a hard time & recite the chorus like “Pokemon Tana…Pokemon Tana” & she’d get pissed off & correct me that it was “Tony Montana”. Her favorite line in the chorus is…. “I’m ’bout to cop the Porsche”. I’d just look at her & laugh like “Yeah F’kn right”. When I saw the video dropped today I was impressed with the visual quality that director Jesse Terrero brought to it. I was also surprised to see the video for this was shot in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic which is a city I’ve been to quite often in the last 10 years. My niece likes it, I dig the cinematic value of the song, & I got love for some of my homies living in DR. Had to post this one…

R&B: Trey Songz – “Find A Place”
Nice smooth joint from Trey Songz from his upcoming free R&B mixtape “Anticipation II” dropping on November 1st. I thoroughly enjoyed Trey Songz’s first “Anticipation” mixtape that he released for free two years ago & hopefully he’ll get back to that vibe that most of us early adopters grew to like from him. This song right here is a good start, but hopefully he’ll keep the profanity to a minimum & get on some real love based themes on the final product. Call me old school but I don’t want to hear too much cursing in my R&B joints…
4-ize – “Her Girl” (Prod. By 9th Wonder)
Atlanta based emcee 4-ize delivers a brand new joint from his collaborative album with his Ultra Beast partner Senor Kaos. This leaked joint “Her Girl” will appear on the Ultra Beast album entitled “Look For The Teeth” due sometime in 2012. This smooth joint right chea sounds like the duo Ultra Beast riding in the coupe & handing out “free rides” to all the attractive women in the “A” with 9th Wonder providing the musical soundtrack. Niiiiice! Check out some video footage of 4-Ize in the studio with 9th Wonder under the hood…

Pa’lo Monte – “Enigma” featuring Chuck D (Video)
My Dominican brother from another mother, Mafioso , put me up on this new video from the Dominican group Pa’lo Monte who’ve collaborated with Chuck D on this song entitled “Enigma” which touches upon the recruiting tactics and strategies of warfare that land many of young brothas & sistas on the front lines of war only to the benefit of the politically rich & powerful. Beside the song sounding good it’s dope to see there is a great message behind it too. Pa’lo Monte’s new album “Back To The Root” is available now on itunes through Chuck D’s SlamJamz label.
