Sean Price x PF Cuttin – “N!ggerific” (Clean)

artworks-000066642566-uv920i-t500x500

Well happy freakin’ holidays! Had to clean it up; even for this Sean Price share (cuts by PF Cuttin)… because he did it for the DJs that spin real Hip-Hop… on the radio! Respect to P for that. Still had to keep it gully with the title though. Ha! Download the clean version of this quick and dirty ditty for yourself.

Technology: Technical Illusions’ castAR Augmented Reality Glasses (Video)

Not just Virtual Reality (VR) but Augmented Reality (AR) Glasses. See, with VR, everything is virtual – part of the interface, not real (e.g. the ‘reality’ is created). However, AR can include physical objects as part of its interface and wearers’ interactions (e.g. the interface includes real things you can touch). I can see gaming applications for this. Sure. Imagine your friends traveling out to your house, excited about the ‘boom boom room’ you’re adding to your home…next year! Yeah, I can see AR glasses “completing” the construction virtually. And, of course, there will be military applications (but I’m not ranting on that over the holidays… nope… keeping it ‘holiday cheery’ man).

So, check this out. The folks at the Tested channel put on Technical Illusions’ castAR glasses at Maker Faire 2013. Watch the clips and chats above, with founders Jeri Ellsworth and Rick Johnson.

Comedy: Conan Exposes The News Channels’ “Script” (Video)

Hahahaaaa! Yooo. We clown so-called reality TV shows. But most are admitting that they are not totally real. ‘Scripted reality’ is the term coined. But can we apply such to the news… which is supposed to be real? Conan O’Brien thinks so; and he offers proof!

Top Story: “It’s okay to be a little selfish this Christmas,” on Channel… EVERY damn channel!

Julius Erving aka ‘DR. J’ Says He Would Not Build An NBA Team Around Carmelo Anthony (Video)

NBA Hall Of Famer & former Philadelphia 76er Julius Erving stopped by ESPN2’s program ‘SPORTSNATION’ to talk basketball. When the topic of Carmelo Anthony & the NY Knicks came up, Dr. J didn’t pull any punches as to what’s wrong with the franchise.  I’ve said it many times before that “Dr. J” was Michael Jordan BEFORE ‘Air Jordan’ but ‘Dr. J’ didn’t always have the help he needed to win multiple championships. Michael Jordan is viewed by many people as the greatest to ever play the game, but it took Phil Jackson to convince him to slow down from being an aggressive scorer early in MJ’s career so that the Bulls could properly build around him. When asked if Carmelo Anthony is the right guy to build around in order for the Knicks to win one or more championships, Dr. J kept it honest that he didn’t have faith in Melo being the right guy.  I believe Lebron James is the greatest to ever play the game & he’s not even done yet, but the kid from Akron recognized early that he needed the proper pieces around him to solidify multiple championships in efforts to silence the critics & cement himself in the G.O.A.T. argument.

Technology: NASA’s New Superhero Robot (Video)

Of the teams participating in the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) last year, NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) developed the clear winner – a humanoid robonaut, Valkyrie.

Valkyrie (designated R5 by NASA) is a 1.9 meter tall, 125 kilogram, battery-powered human-like robot. A JSC team in Houston partnered with The University of Texas and Texas A&M (with funding from the state of Texas) to build the R5 for the DRC.

The DRC challenge was to create tech that could walk over uneven terrain, climb a ladder, use tools, and drive; pretty much be capable of operating in the same spaces that a person would operate in, under the control of humans who have only minimal training with robots. Nice. Take a look.

Technology: Robot Dragonfly Drones (Video)

“Most people [speaking of the DelFly Explorer] talk about the three D’s – dull, dangerous, and dirty. We talk about the three F’s – fun, functional, and friendly.”

Dutch engineers at the Delft University of Technology have created a Micro Air Vehicle (referring to an aerial drone nearer in size to an insect than an airplane) called the DelFly Explorer. Weighing only 20 grams, or as much as four sheets of A4 paper, the Explorer’s sensor system is entirely self-contained. A tiny system of two cameras and a navigation computer to control itself (e.g. to take off by itself, maintain height and avoid obstacles for the nine minutes of its battery life).

DelFly’s engineers imagine a range of uses for their new MAV – stuff like detecting ripe fruit in greenhouses to streaming live event or theme park video. Cool. Wonder what a military or government entity might use this for? Hmmm…

Actually, think ‘smaller’ (so to speak)… Can you imagine what a jealous mate, or a nosy neighbor, might do with this fly-in-the-room tech? Hmmmmmm…

Might be a toy you’d wanna keep from under the tree for now. Hahaaa.

Heaven Can Wait: The Story Behind The Wall (Mini-Documentary)

“…the situation in Chicago…the war going on in the streets with these kids…these children are too young…haven’t lived for their maximum potential yet…[to] society and the world…their energy, their leadership…Heaven can wait for these kids…They haven’t had the opportunity to live…”

Kevin “Mr. Soul” Harp

Great story-behind-the-story (visually delivered by w. Feagins Jr.; music by the homie Focus…) exploring the meaning and motivation behind the “Heaven Can Wait” mural. Artwork by Atlanta-based artists Craig “Flux” Singleton, Kevin “Mr. Soul” Harp and Goldi Gold. Moving piece.

People, watch this piece. A worthwhile holiday wish: Peace and a cease to the violence and loss of life and vital youth energy going on in Chi Raq (an unfortunate nickname for modern Chicago, for more see our earlier post here). And in this holiday season (and seasons beyond), please hug your loved ones (esp. the kids) extra tight.

R&B: Raheem DeVaughn – “Pink Crush Velvet” (Video)

Raheem DeVaughn said it feels “like pink crush velvet.” Alright. So, we start in that direction. But ask the ladies, and they take it there! “Tight.” “Soft.” “Moist.” “Warm.” “P*ssy.” That’s what the honeys said it is. It is what it is… just what you think.

If you have Raheem’s album – “A Place Called Love Land” – you should be spinning “Pink Crush Velvet” tonight. Watch the vid above if you need ‘ideas and inspiration.’

“Transcendence” (Movie Trailer)

Incredible trailer to say the least. Keep telling yourself, “It’s just a movie. They can’t do that in real life.” Sure. But do me a favor before you get too comfortable with that assertion. Google “yadabyte” for me. Remember when kilobytes and megabytes were “big” to us? Like in the 1990s? We could be closing in the big tech that could drive ‘the singularity.’

And leave it to Morgan Freeman to be [part of a group] ‘playing God’ in a movie. Hahaaa. Looks like a powerful story though. Check out Johnny Depp the super genius in the lead role in “Transcendence” (due out in theaters April 17, 2014) above.

Eye Candy: Olivia Jensen (Video)

What do I want for Christmas? Peace on Earth. Good will to… Whoa, wait! I changed my mind. I was (air quotes) watching this DIY (Do It Yourself) video for making distressed jean shorts. Because I’m into fashio… okay, I’m not gonna front. I am not really posting a fashion do-it-yourself vid for Eye Candy. I wouldn’t do that to you. Eye Candy = Honey. You KNOW that. And you know ME. I… like ’em… THICK! Enter Olivia Jensen, Ms. Do-It-Yourself THICKness in the flesh.

(More like, “I’d Do Her MYself.” Mm mm mm. Have mercy!)

Okay falling back. It’s actually kind of cool that she’s this fine and into something worthwhile; even if it’s not my thing. Up side: She is making her own trendy clothes instead of spending up all kinds of money to look cute.

Enjoy the visual, folks. Courtesy of the All Good Things channel on YouTube (not making any of this up).
