In my opinion the team should have always been named the “Miami Marlins” from the very beginning. Miami is the perfect market for that too….
“On November 11, 2011, the Marlins officially rebranded themselves the Miami Marlins with a new logo, uniform, and color scheme. The VIP event was held at the site of the new ballpark at night, featuring a private concert by Pitbull and a fashion show featuring the new uniforms worn by various Marlins players and coaches, including Guillén, Logan Morrison, Hanley RamÃrez, and Josh Johnson.”

This smacks of wackness. Folks in Jersey get pandered to for one more season while the team packs their bags for their new digs in Brooklyn. This is basically a waste of a season for this franchise. They’ll begin in the 2012-13 season being a franchise again as far as I’m concerned.

The homie Phife Dawg of the legendary A Tribe Called Quest is a straight up Philadelphia Eagles & New York Jets fan. Sometimes I’d clown the Phifer that he needs to just go on ahead & join the Raider Nation although I’m not mad at him supporting my hometown Eagles. Even though personally I’m a true Raiders fan. As a part of his duties with his new podcast for the NFL Network, Phife who splits time between Oakland & Atlanta, stopped by the Raiders practice facility & spoke with Raiders in house reporter & cheerleading coordinator Jeannette Thompson about his feelings on the Raider organization. Phife spoke on what he likes about the Raiders, the global Raiders fans he’s met, & more. Former NBA star Stephon Marbury is currently playing overseas in China for the Beijing Ducks & appears to have found some serenity while living over there. Seems like he’s at peace since his rather odd break downs he had on the internet a while ago appearing suicidal & eating vaseline. Although everything appears to be smaller for Marbury, literally & figuratively, I’d bet anything that he’s a rather smart man in trying to build his Starbury shoe brand globally. Almost like taking a few steps backwards in efforts to make a thousand steps forward….

I’m a Lebron James fan & if anyone follows me on twitter I’ve said it time & time again that Lebron needs to embrace the “Darkside” & stop trying to be liked by everyone. The reason he has so much hate on him from former fans, especially in Ohio, is because he allows it to happen. Today Stephen A. Smith said exactly what I’ve been saying for months about what Lebron James needs to be doing from a mental aspect of his game. Lebron is the most talented player in the NBA in my opinion, but he does need to develop that mental bad guy attitude….

Of course this is not former Denver Broncos Quarterback Kyle Orton, but this is still hilarious. The Denver Broncos continue to win despite Tim Tebow’s very suspect passing capabilities. Kyle Orton may have gotten a raw deal after dissing Tim Tebow then subsequently getting waived & ending up in Kansas City. I’m an Oakland Raiders fan & I’ll be flying to Oakland early tomorrow so I can catch Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. I usually fly to Cali at least once a year specifically to be in attendance to watch my Raiders play. Fellow Raider fan & West Coast legend Ice Cube & his wife made a trip out to a game two weeks ago on November 6th against the Denver Broncos. Our Raiders didn’t beat the Broncos that day, but hopefully my presence in the “Black Hole” this Sunday will edge us a win over the Chicago Bears. Maybe I’ll use my iphone & do my own “Raiders: Day In The Life Of Jayforce” for y’all depending on how I feel. In the meantime, Hue Jackson & the team need to keep doing it for Big Al Davis. Just Win Baby!

I truly don’t believe they’ll be an NBA season this year, but there’s always work at Footlocker selling kicks. Right Superman?
