We were going through over a 100 emails of new music & ran across this track from a 22 year old emcee by the name of J. Nolan based here in Atlanta. The New Haven, Connecticut native let this particular track ‘More to Come’ produced by Blizz Cartel loose as the first single for his upcoming project ‘Chaos Theory’ that should be dropping sometime late summer/early fall. It’s always good to run across something that catches your attention amidst the mounds of stuff that doesn’t quite raise an eyebrow. Hopefully J. Dope joint I ran across from ATLien soul singer/songwriter/producer Richelle L. Brown aka Cornbread. I never heard of her before until about a month ago when I overheard someone mention her name and speak about how ill a performance of hers was they just seen . I got a chance to witness recently at a local show which turned out to be extremely dope. From there I was hooked and decided I need to dig into her catalogue and get hip to more of her stuff.With only an EP out titled “The Example Project”,her music is very eclectic without being too “out there”, but also creative enough not to sound like your everyday ordinary sh@t. Another talented piece in the Atlanta music scene jumbo pot.Hopefully we can here more from this sista soon. Peep and Enjoy!

That DMV area, D.C., Maryland, & Virginia to those of y’all still not caught up yet, is punching out some quality REAL hip hop music. Just like any city other city I’m sure there’s plenty of talented cats that are original, but they get often get overlooked for the latest swag type rap artist. Can’t say I’m too familiar with Ryan Lucas who also happens to be a part of the D.C. based hip hop trio Subwoofer Science, but this joint his people sent over too us had me doing the instant ‘headnod science’. Heavenly Love Remix appears on Ryan Lucas’s solo EP that’s available now entitled ‘A Letter From The Chief Musician’. Ryan Lucas wrote & produced the entire EP as well as the remixes. I’m glad to see Teedra Moses drop a new mixtape now that she’s officially an artist on Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group. A talented singer & songwriter of her caliber needs to get the type of publicity & looks that she deserves more than just penning hits for big names like Mary J. Blige & Raphael Saadiq. I still find myself bumping her first album Complex Simplicity while cruising the streets especially during the summer months. Seems like the suits at MMG wanted Teedra to bring more of that feeling by dropping this mixtape yesterday. Her first full length album ‘Lioness’ on MMG will drop sometime next year but this Luxurious Undergrind mixtape should hold true fans like us over. The complete tracklisting is under the hood…..
