Comedy: Alfonso Ribiero Leads Flash Mob Doing ‘Carlton Dance’
“At noon on April 21, 2012 thousands of dancers at hundreds of locations across the country spontaneously broke into the “Carlton” dance and then left like nothing happened.
They were lead by none other than Carlton Banks himself, Alfonso Ribiero, in support of the Do the Dance Challenge” – DoTheDanceChallenge.com
Studio Session: Warren G & Game Recording ‘Party We Will Throw Now’ featuring Nate Dogg (Video)
Some behind the scenes footage of the recording of Warren G’s “Party We Will Throw Now” featuring Game. Nate Dogg also appears on the track posthumously, of course, & the song is the first single from Warren G’s “No One Could Do It Better” EP. I wonder if the D.O.C. will have an issue with that ‘No One Could Do It Better’ title….haha

Consequence – “Killer Instinct” (It Ain’t Hard To Tell Freestyle)
It appears Consequence may have decided to capitalize on the recent success of Nas’s VH1 Behind The Music special & hop on Nas’s classic instrumental for “It Ain’t Hard To Tell”. It’s crazy because I remember when a few magazine’s back in the day were making statements that Consequence was that next dude to reach Nas’s status. The skills never left the Cons but everything else is the just the ebb & flows of the music ‘business’. Flash forward to 2012 & it’s obvious Consequence may not be on Nas’s level in the public eye but this other kid from Queens skills haven’t left him for fans who still enjoy lyrics & clever wordplay.

The Goodie Mob Perform Their New Single ‘Fight To Win’ On NBC’s ‘The Voice’ (Video)
The Goodie Mob performed on national television last night debuting their new single “Fight To Win” on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ where Cee-Lo is the host. This particular song is very “Cee-Lo heavy” with the singing, but I guess it’s appropriate for the platform they were on last night.
Tabi Bonney ‘Moves Smart’ Like Everyday Is Earth Day (Video)
Check out this video that dropped from Tabi Bonney stressing the importance of making smart choices in how we live. This video sort of reminds me of Tabi Bonney’s ‘Nuthin But A Hero’clip, but it’s more like a public service announcement instead of a music video. Check out the video & remember to show love to your Mother….

R&B/Alternative: Norah Jones – “Say Goodbye”
Norah Jones has a great voice & has put together some great songs that are personal classics in my music library including my all-time favorite “Angels” produced by Wax Poetics as well as the widely popular “Chasing Pirates” joint from a few years back. This latest single “Say Goodbye” will be added to my list of personal favorites from Norah Jones when her album “Little Broken Hearts” drops on May 1st. I noticed the sound was quite different from previous Norah Jones joints yet subtly familiar. I even mentioned aloud on my twitter page that I wondered who produced it. After doing a little digging it all made sense when I discovered former Atlanta native Brian Burton, better known to the world as DangerMouse was behind the boards. I’m still bumping the Broken Bells album with James Mercer & it’s good to see he was able to apply his magic for Norah Jones next project. I’ve had this song on repeat the last few days so I can only expect more greatness when the full-length drops.

Jasiri X – “That Funk” (Directed By Will Feagins, Jr)
Politically conscious emcee Jasiri X drops a new video directed by award winning Atlanta based director Will Feagins, Jr for “That Funk”. It was only a matter of time before these Pittburgh natives collaborated on some visuals for Jasiri’s high powered commentaries….

Playboy Tre – “Care After Me” (Video)
Decatur’s finest Playboy Tre drops a new visual for another song off his upcoming “Patron & Instrumentals” project dropping later this month. This particular joint deals with the day to day highs and lows like dealing with the death of close friends & family members while still dealing with the everyday craziness in the neighborhood surrounding him. We may laugh at many of Playboy Tre’s comedic videos he’s dropped on the web & you may often see him serving as hypeman to his homie B.O.B., but this song & video goes in another direction in giving his fans more info into who he is other than the ‘Liquor Stow Mascot’ personas….
UPDATE: Check out video from the listening party to Playboy Tre’s “Patron & Instrumentals”

French Presidential Candidate Uses ‘N*ggaz In Paris’ As Campaign Song (Video)
I’m still shaking my head that Kanye & Jay Z’s “N*ggaz In Paris” song title couldn’t have been more creative with the ‘Paris’ theme. Now a French presidential candidate is using it in his campaign. The explicit version at that. Now you have to pause to wonder are they celebrating/laughing with us or at us….
Suge Knight Believes Tupac Shakur Isn’t Dead (Audio)
In a recent radio interview copped by TMZ of 93.5 KDAY in L.A., Suge Knight stated that he believes Tupac isn’t dead & may have faked his own death. Suge Knight says “The person who supposedly cremated Tupac … this guy got about 3 million dollars .. personally from me … cash … and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again … he retired and left.”
