Questlove Speaks On Beef With Notorious B.I.G. And Diddy Back In The Day, With Chris Rock Being Around For The Best Music EVER (Video)

The world felt the loss of Biggie. BUT… Y’all don’t know nothin’ about the pain real Hip-Hop heads felt… in Chevy Chase (Maryland, USA)!! Ha!

Well, Rosenberg will tell you. Then quickly move to the meat of the video – Questlove and Chris Rock. The Roots’ main man and percussionist supreme starts by telling the story of beef before the fall of B.I.G.; and never getting to squash it with him…THENNNN… almost catching a 15-man beatdown by Puff Daddy and his ‘family’ soon after (okay, that got squashed… sorta). THENNNN… Chris Rock talks about his contributions to the Hip-Hop world library; and how Kanye’s album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” was the best ever.

20 Years A Yankee: A Farewell To Derek Jeter (Narrated By Black Thought Of The Roots) [Video]

Know anything about baseball? If so (or even if you don’t), you are probably very aware – and at least a bit melancholy – about the last trip around the diamond of New York Yankees’ Derek Jeter. Yep, the cap is calling it quits. But not before EVERYBODY (including the U.S. President) wishes him a bon voyage. The future hall-of-famer has spent all his 20 years as a pro in Yankee blue and white; so you can understand how, for even the most jaded New Yorker, it’s so haaarrrd say goodbyyyye to the team’s all-time hit leader.

But Black Thought and The Roots have got something (a song far better than the ‘attempt’ above; guaranteed). The group calls up a 2009 single – “The Fire” – for the heartfelt fare-thee-well. Rock out with your tissues out.

(If the clip above doesn’t get you, the one after the jump will.)

Comedy: It’s The Fallon Family vs. The Roots On ‘Tonight Show Family Feud’ (Video)

Any and everybody has probably had a good belly laugh watching Steve Harvey host the long-running syndicated game show Family Feud. The clips on the Internet alone crack me up every time I see them. Well, as Jimmy Fallon’s guest on The Tonight Show, Harvey hosts a mini-version of the game with Fallon heading one fam against Questlove and his Roots crew. And comedy ensues!

Of course, performers with a natural silly gene will really go for the funny; but some go overboard and mess it up. Not this though. Hilarious stuff. Never thought ‘ding dong’ could be so funny. C’mon, it’s late night TV… so they could go there a bit. Watch this bit (above).

Kanye West Performs ‘Bound 2’ With Charlie Wilson & The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (Video)

“Brandy’s little sister’s lame & he know it now”Kanye West

Kanye West stopped by Jimmy Fallon’s show last night & performed his new single & my favorite song off of his new album “Yeezus”. I like the audio of this live version just as much as the original & this version isn’t without minor controversy as Kanye provides a funny jab at Brandy’s little brother Ray J in the opening line. Dope song, dope performance. Great setup for when Kanye’s upcoming ‘Yeezus’ tour that’s slated to kick off in October.  You know Kanye does great live performances so I know many people will be waiting for this tour along with Kendrick Lamar.   BOUND!!
