But then again maybe Marley is right after all & websites & blogs shouldn’t have covered this anyway because, as he says in his first response video, “no one cares.”
KRS-ONE Says His Career Ended with Record Labels in ’92, But He Grew Through Independence (Video)
This is very informative interview with KRS-ONE recorded by the team over at DJPremierBlog. The Blastmaster KRS-ONE explains in detail about how he viewed his career was over in 1992 following his business separation with Jive records. KRS-ONE explained that through independence and gathering other like minded indy artists like the Fugees, Fat Joe, Mad Lion, Gangstarr, & others they were all able to eventually thrive. After completing a classic album featuring DJ Premier called “Return Of The Boom Bap” back in 1993, KRS-ONE is coming full circle with “Return Of The Boom Bip” with Primo that’s due to be released sometime this year…

Classic Clips: The Lockers (Video)
I never knew that Fred “Rerun” Berry’s nickname was “Mr. Penguin” outside of the television show “What’s Happening?” that he starred on. Most of the video taken from this clip is from “The Suns of James Brown Street Dance DVD” that attempts document this element of dance. Far too often when it comes to hip hop culture we get immersed into knowing the history of the music, but it’s good to know the history of the other aspects of the culture especially in dance. More specifically in this case it would be “Pop Locking” or “Locking”….
