Public Enemy – “No Sympathy From The Devil” (Video)
Yeah! Who’s still down with the P.E.? You reading this post, you’ve gotta say ‘ME!’ And here’s why – videos like this. Mista Chuck D not giving a what-the-f#ck spitting that fire! Check the imagery in case the lyrics about the ‘devil’ are not clear enough for you. This visual is for the single “No Sympathy For The Devil” off the Public Enemy LP “Man Plans God Laughs.”
R&B: Tiara Thomas – “On Me” (Prod. By Ryan Ryghteous Tedder) [Video]
Haters, y’all can’t throw shade or put a stain on this one. Tiara’s trying to tell ya! Okay. With her “Up In Smoke” EP slated for an August 12, 2015, release… Tiara Thomas gives us a chance to ‘release’ (watch for the bath scene, dude) beforehand with this “On Me” visual. Yowzaaaa!

Deadpool (Trailer)
This is IT! Marvel has given Ryan Reynolds a couple of at-bats. Remember him as Hannibal King in Blade Trinity, and he has already played ‘Deadpool’ in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now, he gets to do “Deadpool” for real for real! And the trailer is looking damn dope.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
The funny jabs referring to ‘animated’ and ‘green suit’… Hilarious (and requires that we link that Green Lantern subpar DC movie he was slick-talking about). It’s okay, Ryan. This movie right here looks like it’s going to make up for that plus extra love. Stay Marvel, dude. Stay MARVEL!
(We have to wait until 2016, though? Boooo…)

Eye Candy: Behind The Scenes With Gia Simone (Video)
Behind the scenes at a shoot meant to sell the late model Ferrari 458 Italia. But whether they meant to or not, I was sold on the model they draped over it. Magnificent body; the car, too. Gia Simone… I’d ride with you anywhere. Just open the door.

Rewind: Kendrick Lamar’s Breakout Performance in Atlanta 2011 (Video)
Before he was selling out The Tabernacle (historic concert venue in ATL) or playing Music Midtown, one of the largest festivals in Atlanta, a young Kendrick Lamar rocked the stage at the Masquerade back on April 2, 2011. Well before his albums “GKMC” and “To Pimp A Butterfly“, young “KDot” made noise & grew his fanbase off of his mixtapes.  I was in attendance for this show along with my radio co-host Jayforce to see him perform.  We were guests for Kendrick’s show in part because our program The Beatz & Lyrics Show was the first show playing Kendrick’s music in Atlanta on a regular basis & we also conducted his first Atlanta radio interview. So naturally we looked forward to finally seeing him in person.  He did not disappoint it’s crazy to look back now because Ali, his famed engineer, was his DJ that night and his hype man was Schoolboy Q who at the time was only known by a few die hard TDE fans. This particular show was Kendrick’s official breakout show in Atlanta when you knew he was going to be a star on a larger level. Kendrick made a lot of fans that night and it doesn’t surprise me at all the success he has gained.  So check out this vintage footage I shot of him rocking the crowd before the albums, before the baby twist dreads, & before the worldwide acclaim.

Miguel – “Crazy Enough” (Mini-Documentary)
“I’ve never loved anything more than music. I’ve never imagined or envisioned myself doing anything else… I was just crazy enough to believe deeper than the odds, I suppose.”
– Miguel
As humans moving through life as best we can, we often wish could go back and [at least] talk to our past selves. Had to strike a chord within us to see this piece that blends throwback footage a hopeful up-and-coming Miguel blended with commentary from the seasoned mega-talent we have come to know over the years since. SO much insight on the artist, and the man, in a short clip. Watch.
[B]ack in 2008, we shot a young hopeful in San Pedro. He took us by his house, told us about his family. He was stuck, then, in a contract with a label that wanted him to be somebody different. He was busy holding the line, a little flustered, but not shook. He believed. When we went back to him this summer, we found the same person.

Statik Selektah Talks With Joey Bada$$ About Being Categorized By Critics, Earlier Days In His Career And More (Video)
Joey Bada$$ and Statik Selektah chit-chat at the Fresh Island Festival in Croatia. Stat is directing the convo about how music critics box Joey into the ‘pure throwback emcee’ category (like he can’t flow in present time), about how the two met up and got down musically back in the day, about Joey worshiping idols like Jay-Z, TLC and more.
Eye Candy: Taylor Hing (Video)
Blasian THICKNESS!! Oh my damn! Taylor Hing is sooooo thick and tan and sweet… looking like a ‘plate of yams all covered in syrup’ (shout to Andre 3000). Sounds like Southern fare, but this Eye Candy is from New York. Well, that Yankee can yank on my… You know what? Nah. I’m gonna let the visuals do the talking. Watch above. Enjoy that. Then overdose on more pics of this Honey on her Instagram (linked below).

Black Mass (Trailer)
In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster James “Whitey†Bulger (Johnny Depp) to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.
Looks like an early fall movie ticket to buy. “Black Mass” will hit theaters September 18, 2015.
Living In A Small Apartment Or Dorm? Soon You Can Do Your Laundry With A Drumi (Video)
College students, apartment dwellers, boarders… anyone who doesn’t have space for a washer and dryer, or convenient access to a laundromat, the Drumi – a sustainable, miniature washing machine – could be the small sensible solution you need. Household design company Yirego put out a video of a working model. You put in detergent and water (per the clothes label instructions), add a small load of garments, close it, and spin the clothes clean using foot pedal power. Nice! Watch the vid.
When this Drumi is finally commercially available (pre-order now for $169 US plus shipping for delivery around July 2016 here), hardcore environmentalists will likely have something to say about this plastic product… and landfills. But c’mon, this is cool tech! Saves cash on the power bill (and with enough folks using it, reduces reliance on electricity from coal-fired plants).

Capone-N-Noreaga Speak On ‘Lessons’, Meek Mill Vs. Drake, & Nore’s Upcoming ‘Foodie’ Show (Video)
I’m still winning. I have an 7th grade education, I’m dyslexic, and I’ve made millions of dollars. God bless America!
– Noreaga
Yup, AND Nore is finalizing talks with Lions Gate to do a Hip-Hop food & travel show. Winning most definitely! And anybody watching this Hot 97 Morning Show interview with CNN is winning, too. These dudes are always hilarious; especially Nore. The stories he tells (like ‘Tiger Bone’). The duo gets around to talking about their album “Lessons” (out now) and “U.M.A.R.” (yoUr Man’s All Real); and also comment on the Drake vs. Meek Mill beef.
Kid Cudi – “Confused”
I hate the drugs, but I love the numb…
– Kid Cudi
Yep, that’s the vibe alright.
We’d call Cudi alternative Hip-Hop; but on this time he seems to lean a lot harder on the alternative side of the box. Rumor ’round the web is that an album is in the works. Check out this “Confused” in the embedded stream above right now though.
