Andre 3000 & Big Boi hit the stage at the Coachella festival as Outkast for the first time in years out in California last night. One of Wu-Tang Clan’s most lyrical marksmen, Raekwon, invites fans into his ‘Living Room’ to listen to this new freestyle joint he dropped via his twitter page. The flyness starts out with the help of Aretha Franklin’s sampled voice on ‘Soul Serenade’ & then further smooths out with Dionne Warwick’s sampled voice from the Burt Bacharach composed classic ‘Walk On By’. The man also known as Lex Diamonds paints multiple fly pictures on this song all the while performing verbal gymnastics with the track changes. It’s clear that Rae is still up on his “F.I.L.A.” ish…

I’ve been banging this hot new song from Atlanta native & part-time Los Angeles based emcee Stat Quo for weeks on my radio show. It’s a quality nod to Atlanta’s most famous hip hop duo ‘Outkast’ in terms of the initial sound, but the story is completely Stat Quo’s own. I LOVE this song man! Without question it’s one of my personal favorite joints in the past few months. The only thing that would have made me any happier prior to today would have been to see a quality video for it. And just like that today on April 10th, Stat Quo drops a new visual on us.
