Triple 9 (Redband Trailer) [NSFW]

The ‘redband trailer’ part pretty much means this clip is NSFW (Not Safe For Work). But since there is bloodshed AND nudity, perhaps an extra warning label is warranted. Scheming, betrayal, organized crime (international even), overt sexuality, explosions, and adrenaline rush car chases and action sequences. Check, check and all boxes check. Still, there seems to be an intriguing story.
See… corrupt cops get pulled into doing organized crime by a Russian mobster. A core element of their seedy plans was to be the killing of a rookie cop; you know, to throw good cops off their trail. And that’s where the story really gets started.
Due out February 2016. Now we know there will be more than DC Comics movies to watch in theaters next year.
(By the way, ‘9-9-9’ is the code for “officer down.†Now the “Triple 9” title of the movie makes sense.)

Looks good. The Jesse Owens story should be told with reverence, passion and a duty to the entire truth. A talented brother who wanted, worked and deserved to be the best. He was, and when he went to the Olympics; the world would soon know, too.
Track and field star Jesse Owens overcomes adversity to win four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games.
But Jesse and his people deserved, even before all that, to be FREE. And yes, he let the world know that, too. Check out the trailer. Should be something special hitting theater screens February 2016.

Stretch And Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives (Trailer)

Well, the Kickstarter Fundraising Campaign obviously went well. And now (drum roll), click play above for the trailer for “Stretch And Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives.”
During the 1990s, Stretch and Bobbito introduced the world to an unsigned Nas, Biggie, Wu-Tang, and Big Pun as well as an unknown Jay-Z, Eminem, and The Fugees. The total record sales for all the artists that premiered on their radio show exceed 300 million. The late night program had a cult following in the art/fashion world and prison population as well. All would loyally tune in for the humor just as much for the exclusive tunes. Stretch and Bobbito brought a unique audience together, and created a platform that changed music forever.

“Daft Punk Unchained” is the first ever documentary film on the most secretive duo in the world. It tells the story of two uncompromising artists – Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo – who have created a unique artistic universe. Throughout their career they have remained determined to control every link in the chain of their creative work (most notably, their visages, faces covered by chrome robo-masks nowadays). The title almost says it all. If it was “Hardcore” with maybe “In The First Person” added, maybe that’d say much more. The trailer definitely says the rest. Talk about “Robocop“ + “The Transporter” + “Shoot ‘Em Up” on steroids…wowww!
You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry and congratulations, you’re now a cyborg.
5 minutes later, your wife has been kidnapped and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky), he’s just a psychotic megalomaniac with telekinetic powers, and a never-ending army of mercenaries. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, Russia and everyone wants you dead. Everyone, except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley). He might be on your side. Good luck Henry. You’re very much likely to need it.

But this time… no wait, hear him out… this time, he really wants to help. Yeah. Instead of us (you know, U.S. taxpayers) funding the military industrial complex to [defend ‘Murica or expand the ’empire’ – you pick], Moore has volunteered to be the one-man army that does ALL of America’s invading going forward. What do you say, politicians…good idea? Could save billions in defense spending. Just think about it…

Peace! Stretch and Bobbito here, 25 years after our first WKCR broadcast. We’re amped to share the history of our landmark show in a feature length documentary titled STRETCH AND BOBBITO: RADIO THAT CHANGED LIVES (www.stretchandbobbito.com). The film, produced by Omar Acosta, was co-produced by us with Kool Bob Love directing and Stretchy music supervising. A classic combo, yo!
The documentary film is all but a reality, having surpassed its fundraising goal. But we linked the Kickstarter… still got a few days to kick in on it. The film is due out October 2015.

Uh oh NFL… The League must be on the ‘naughty’ list because, on Christmas Day, it gets a theatrical lump of coal staffing Will Smith. Check out this trailer for “Concussion” in which Will’s character demands that The League ‘tell the truth’ about what the repeated head trauma at the core of the ultimate collision sport (American football) does to its players. Also starring in the film: Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alec Baldwin, Luke Wilson, Paul Reiser and Albert Brooks.

This documentary trailer teases (get it) the full story of the counter culture establishment frequented by bands, true ballers and all kinds of folk throughout history. Wow. Flashing back to the days of a true pro-wrestling superstar is awesome. A more compelling story though, more American in the realest way, is Jake’s real life rise-and-fall-and-fall-and-FALL to finally rise story that continues today. Check out the trailer for that story, coming to theaters this Fall.
