Young M.A – “Thotiana” (Remix) [Video]
You wanna cry in a Bentley or in a Honda…
So… your chick is safe from getting scooped up by Red Lyfe if she’s high-mileage. They don’t do “Thotiana” chicks over there. And even if you get chosen by M.A don’t play yourself. You may get treats, but you will NOT get tricked. Hahaaaa!

TAP Teezy – “Bad Habits” (Video)
See, I have no problem with the style some of these young’uns are spitting. It’s just that some of their spit is not legit. I just don’t get what you’re saying, because try as I might, I cannot understand what you are spitting (the words, the vibe, either or).
Now, this joint does NOT have that problem. The homie Sydney Hopes shared this and I checked it out, and try as I might to hate on it, I cannot. It’s dope! It’s fun listening to the wild out life joints like this. Hate if you want. I’m listening again. Might even pick up some “Bad Habits” (wink).

Mannie Fresh Speaks On The Making Of Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up” (Video)
How much of a classic is Juve’s hit “Back That Azz Up” though? Watch what happens when it plays at a party TODAY! Azzes WILL get to backing folks up! Right from “Cash Money Records taking over for the ’99 and the 2000” it is ON!
Watch super-producer of that hit, Mannie Fresh, talk about its creation. Genius! For real…
Back in 1998, Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up†introduced bounce music to the mainstream and helped Cash Money Records make a name for itself. The 400 Degreez track remains one of the New Orleans rapper’s biggest hits, peaking at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100. Production is handled by Mannie Fresh, who served as the architect of Cash Money’s signature sound from the early ’90s to mid-2000s.

Cormega Speaks On Queensbridge Rappers Going For Theirs And Getting It While He Was Getting It In On The Streets (Video)
Great interview! I especially like how Raine and Cormega got into respect for the Culture vs. the Street in this discussion. Gonna check for that Cormega release off the strength. Respek!
Cormega has returned with a new EP titled “Mega.” The five-song collection is produced entirely by Grammy-winning hitmaker Street Runner and has one lone guest, veteran rapper-producer Havoc of Mobb Deep fame. For those real MCs out there, ‘Mega even included the instrumentals of the five songs so you can spit your own lyrics on them.

Rapper Big Pooh x M-Dot – “The Beginning” (Prod. By Pause Beats)
For every great story, the starting point isn’t always the most optimistic. And when two respected, accomplished artists collaborate it doesn’t always mean there will be chemistry. Good news here, though… maaaad chemistry!!!
Boston’s M-Dot and Rapper Big Pooh (of Little Brother fame) drop their latest tune, “The Beginning,” over a soulful instrumental by Sweden’s Pause Beats. The track also features the sultry vocals of Sabina Ddumba on the chorus.

WHAT???! Method Man & Redman Will NOT Star In “How High 2” (Video)
Damn right Redman felt disrespected that he and Method Man were kept in the casting, or even in the friggin’ loop, for “How High 2.” Respek on his name for not going at Lil Yachty & DC Young Fly though. No need to trash the young bros. Not their fault. Lift them up. Hope they do well in it.
We interviewed Redman recently and asked him how he felt about being replaced with Lil Yachty and DC Young Fly on the sequel to his movie with Method Man “How High.” Full Interview coming soon.

Okay. But I will be on the lookout for that new Red & Meth movie project… whatever it is, whenever it is ready!

Don’t Undervalue, Or Overvalue, Social Media’s Impact On The Music Industry Today (Video)
Older heads in the grind are still probably trying to ‘get’ social media, but like Too Short says here… They MUST at least be glad that it wasn’t around when they were young and wild. Hahaa!

JR Writer – “Run Tory Run” (Prod. By Criss Childs)
Wasn’t really checking for the Tory Lanez rap challenge and response drama. Then I came across the video of Lanez backing down one of the emcees that responded with the smoke and was like ‘Wow, it got personal and HEATED with Dax… damn’ (see after jump). THEN I saw this from JR Writer.
That sht he pulled with the kid Dax was CORNY.. stop making challenges if you can’t handle the pressure.. PERIOD.
– JR Writer on YouTube
So, JR did not approve of Tory backing down Dax over a track (ya think?). He even wrote a song about it. Wanna hear it? Here it go! Next in a long line of ‘challenge accepted’ submitters, this “Run Tory Run” from the former Dipset spitter.
