Montreality interviews are always insightful, well worth watching. This one with Raekwon does not disappoint either. Some of the usual topics (his fav books, next project) were addressed by the Chef, including some ODB memories (as was asked of RZA during his Montreality sit-down). But the big “scoop” in this episode was some foreshadowing of Raekwon’s involvement with Jay-Z’s latest straight-to-Samsung release: “Magna Carter Holy Grail.” (available on iTunes July 8, 2013).

After so much Miami Heat HATE, “King James The 4th” (MVPs) aka Lebron James & the Miami Heat have conquered once again for another back-to-back NBA championship. I’m blessed to have ‘witnessed’ & covered, in-person, Lebron’s first championship win back in 2012 & this year’s historic 2013 win over the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals. After the Miami Heat’s historic 27-game winning streak this season, Lebron winning his 4th league MVP, & the rather eventful ‘Harlem Shake’ video, it was inevitable that this year would be nothing less than special in a myriad of ways. I had secured great seats not far from being courtside believing Miami would win it all in 6 games over the San Antonio Spurs, but when it was apparent there would be a game 7 I had to swap that out. My game 7 seats weren’t as great as my seats in 2012 or even my game 6 seats, but this was not at all bad considering there really aren’t any bad seating arrangements in Miami’s American Airlines arena to begin with. The sight lines were still very good & close to the action which was clearly visible from our seats. The most important thing was being in the building to witness history & to report on it. As the squad prepares for the 2013-2014 season in just a few months for a possible 3-peat, here’s the JAYFORCE.COM report & recap via tweets, pics, & with video of what took place in Miami before, during, & after the Heat pulled out a historic & classic game 7 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Technology: Recyclable 3D Printed Breathable Cast… The Cool Way To Have a Broken Arm

If you have ever worn a cast (or known someone who has), then you probably know that current medical technology should have found an alternative to plaster casts long before now. Though quick to set, reasonably durable and effective at immobilizing set bones, they are somewhat sloppy to make… make bathing a challenge… and scratching an itch impossible. And once you remove that cast… that smell… it’s like hot damnation and rotten eggs!
Enter the the Cortex 3D-Printed Cast. Did you really read the title? How futuristic cool is a cast that could do all that?
3D-printed casts for fractured bones could replace the usual bulky, itchy and smelly plaster or fiberglass ones in this conceptual project by Victoria University of Wellington graduate Jake Evill.
The prototype Cortex cast is lightweight, ventilated, washable and thin enough to fit under a shirt sleeve.

In episode 13 of Vinyl Destination, DJ Jazzy Jeff was back home with family… so to speak… doing his thing on stage with his fam The Roots in the hometown Philly. Everybody from Queen Latifah to Common to Daryl Hall was in town for the Fourth of July celebration show. Great practice footage; and the fanfare and fireworks at the concert were appropriate for the incredible show enjoyed by all. An unparalleled celebration of America in the city of its birth. But the party didn’t stop there. It was off to Dusk (a venue in Atlantic City). On the way, Jeff shared some touching sentiments about his late friend DJ AM.
