Inside Magic City: Legendary Strip Club Is Home To Upcoming Trap Rappers’ Dreams (Documentary) [NSFW]
WE SWEAR Future’s documentary with GQ Magazine on the legendary ATL home of the thickest, sexiest strippers, Magic City, is NOT SAFE FOR WORK! The thrust of the story being told is the hustle – rappers trying to get on, strippers taking their clothes off. Woooo! The ‘skrippers’ get azzhole naked in Magic City. Watch for for your nasty side for sure; BUT take away the butt naked truth While many rappers haves being shared in here, too. Rappers visit and hound DJs but very few get to have their tracks played to have the strippers shake to (and hopefully convince radio insiders to give a couple a spins). And the strippers ARE NOT TRYING TO GO HOME WITH YOU…but for $10,000 they will make you think they are. They are trying to get their money (read: your money, playa); as much and as quickly as possible…since they know they are not getting any younger.
It’s a game, baby. And everybody is trying to win. Which means some folks lose. However, watching this video (away from young eyes, and your boss’) feels like a win…cheezuussss!!
Watch the 20-minute presentation above featuring commentary from Future, DJ Esco, Lil Magic and some of the club’s popular dancers.

The Making Of ‘Amy’ (Behind The Scenes Featurette)
The world lost its jazzy songbird Amy in 2011, but she will not be forgotten thanks to films like “Amy.” We posted on the film, out in the United Kingdom and Ireland now, earlier here. It’ll include lots of unseen archive footage and previously unheard music. But above, we have ‘included’ (e.g. embedded) a behind-the-scenes short for the Making Of…
“The Grass Is Greener†(Documentary)
VICE sent another cute reporter (hey, just saying) to get another story traditional news media is simply not covering. Though the Marijuana Movement has had coverage, the travails of the business side, post-legalization, have not. Above is the story of an industry that continues to grow – in spite of limited bank backing for businesses, risks associated with having to do high-volume cash business (um…STRONG ARM ROBBERY on dat azz regularly), and very limited government support (dare we say opposition, as weed is still an illegal drug at the federal level).
BUT…
Still weed biz strives. Look, they’re having conventions and luring investors. Not to mention sending major tax revenue to the state of Colorado. Watch the report above.
Guardians Of The Connected World (Trailer)
Wow. ‘The Matrix’ has us… already. We are totally dependent on the technology that connects us. Watch this trailer and be [re]convinced. If we, as a society were to lose connectivity – to our information, assets, ultimately each other – it’s a wrap. That said, a significant tech failure hitting the cyberworld… that’d be a wrap for us! Very provacative documentary trailer above.
Legendary director Werner Herzog investigates the connected world and the people who protect it in his upcoming documentary. From cyber-crime and service outages to technological advances in science, healthcare and retail, take a deeper look at how much our lives depend on staying connected and see just how big and yet fragile the Connected World has become.
As you’ll see, the Internet was never meant to be what it has become – the frail backbone infrastructure of our world. But we are beyond that now. It is what we got; and we are irrevocably tied in and dependent on it as a society. That said, how will we protect and ensure connectivity? We need Guardians (no ‘of the Galaxy’ joke… for real… watch).
Steve Jobs (Trailer)
Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs (played by Michael Fassbender) takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution – giving us an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter. Look forward to standout performances from co-stars Kate Winslet (starring as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh); Seth Rogen (playing Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple); and Jeff Daniels (as former Apple CEO John Sculley).
“Steve Jobs” hits theaters October 9, 2015.
I Am Chris Farley (Trailer)
The late great comedic actor Chris Farley was one of the funniest dudes to come through the Saturday Night Live franchise. Creator/producer of the show, Lorne Michaels, says (in this trailer – look) that Farley was ‘infuriatingly talented’… wow! Many times we find out the story of the ‘funniest person in the world’ is that of a very sad clown. Bet on this bio being an emotional roller coaster. “I Am Chris Farley” — the documentary about the beloved comedian who died in 1997 — opens in theaters on July 31, 2015. Check out the trailer with lots of comments from his peers, who all seemed to really care about and be touched by his being in their lives… for even so short a time.
Creed (Trailer)
Damn. I… DAMN! This is a great idea. All that is left is the delivery. What if we took the guttural energy of the “Rocky” franchise, put it in a movie, but not necessarily a sequel? How about a movie about a son – not Rocky Balboa’s, but Apollo Creed’s son – that we never knew about? That kid, could come up HARD, like his dad. Gravitating toward boxing, as a metaphor for a life rife with fights, this kid could be brash and indignant – just like his dad – but not like his dad. He doesn’t even have to like his dad; because he never knew his dad.
But he knew of his dad’s greatness… and his dad’s great in-ring nemesis and out-of-ring friend… the guy his dad trained to go next level [against Clubber Lang]… the guy who seconded in his corner the night his dad DIED in the ring…
The guy who would ultimately coach him to greatness. WOOOOO! Balboa teams with a Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan) again. Give him the damn red, white and blue shorts. LET’S GO!!!
Oh wait, it doesn’t come out until this Fall (November 25, 2015). In the meantime, watch this trailer for “Creed” – from the makers of [Jordan’s breakout biopic] “Fruitvale Station.” Please, Hollywood, PLEASE get this right.

Nas – Obey Your Thirst (Documentary)
Nas will get to tell his full Sprite documentary story – that is, it is set to drop – July 1, 2015.
“There was nothing more important to me than having a voice,” says Nas in the above trailer for his Obey Your Thirst documentary. “I always believed that I could give people my ideas through art.” Considering how mythologized he’s become thanks to his virtuosic lyricism — which earned him a spot 20 years ago in his classic 1997 Sprite ad — it’s a trip to hear what originally drove him to break into the world of Hip-Hop.
Just more evidence that the smart money is on the G.O.D.M.C. Always has been. Sprite’s known for 20+ years. Others have been catching up. Catch the trailer documentary above.

Woodlawn (Trailer)
Wow! Jon Voight, C. Thomas Howell, and Sean Astin show up to film what promises to be a movie that will give you chill bumps. The setting: Birmingham, Alabama. The set location: BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA.
That’s right. Hollywood star power comes to the Magic City to tell the true story of ‘Touchdown’ Tony Nathan (played by Caleb Castille, son of Alabama and NFL star player Jeremiah Castille). Watch the “Woodlawn” trailer tease the ups, downs, controversies, conquering and overcoming it took to get from the ‘Ham down the highway to play for Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant’s (played by Voight) Alabama Crimson Tide… onto the field and onto the pages of history.
In theaters this October.

We Are Blood (Trailer)
“We Are Blood” is a modern day skate epic featuring Paul Rodriguez and other top skateboarders as they travel the globe pushing the limits of what’s possible on a board and four wheels while celebrating the unconditional bond created by the simple act of skateboarding. Filmed using state-of-the-art cameras on ground, and drones…and helicopters, creatively capturing courageous, cutting-edge skating on digital film. Better that being there; like being there to say WOW! That is the “We Are Blood” experience coming to theaters August 2015.
Shame (Short Film Trailer)
Talk about selling an album and a movie… at the same damn time! Tying in Tyrese’s last album “Black Rose” with this new Denzel Washington-produced short film “Shame.” The film casts Tyrese as the lead, playing an up and coming singer in 1968. The storyline was inspired by the single “Shame” off the Tyrese album. The super sexy Jennifer Hudson plays the wife, suffering through abuse and infidelity while trying to stay strong.
Trying.
Check out the film trailer above. And the album (due out July 10, 2015) is linked for pre-order below.
Matt Damon Stars In Out Of This World Survival Epic ‘The Martian’ (Video)
This is the beast mode role that Matt Damon was made to play. Crush Jason Bourne! “In your face, Neil Armstrong!”
During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. Good mix of comedy rookies and vets in here. Looking for Danny McBride to do something hella crazy and funny to steal this movie. Just a gut feeling. In theaters October 23, 2015.
Never Walk Alone (Documentary)
You may need to watch this twice. Tears will get in the way the first time. Prediction.
Young teen Jack Gallagher has had a hard life. No doubt. But somehow, it has not hardened his spirit. Finding sanctuary on the hardtop, Jack played every game for his mom, in the last pair of shoes she bought him, the CP3s…until they no longer fit. Well, Chris Paul III got wind of that story and… just watch. Oh, man. THIS story.
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
– On Joy and Sorrow, From The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
Very appropriate literary piece for this E:60 piece. It’ll make even more sense after you watch.
“Cooley High” Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary (Video)
And I’ll taaaaaake with me the memorieeeees…
Wow! Has it been 40 years already? Answer: Yes. The movie some of your peers didn’t even know about until Boyz II Men did the theme song remake (“It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday” – see quote above)… “Cooley High” was released 40 years ago! Movie magic made with a cast of unknowns (at that point in time). Hard times, good times, sad times. A bittersweet classic that is REQUIRED watching; so watch above (again, if you like) and celebrate with us. Preach, Cochise… everybody is waiting for you to press play. Go!
Muscle Shoals (Trailer)
The world was coming to Muscle Shoals.
Located alongside the Tennessee River, Muscle Shoals, Alabama is the unlikely breeding ground for some of America’s most creative and defiant music. Under the spiritual influence of the “Singing River” as Native Americans called it, the music of Muscle Shoals has helped create some of the most important and resonant songs of all time. At its heart is Rick Hall who founded FAME Studios. Overcoming crushing poverty and staggering tragedies, he brought black and white together in Alabama’s cauldron of racial hostility to create music for the generations. He is responsible for creating the “Muscle Shoals sound” and The Swampers, the house band at FAME that eventually left to start their own successful studio, known as Muscle Shoals Sound. Greg Allman, Clarence Carter, Mick Jagger, Etta James, Alicia Keys, Keith Richards, Percy Sledge and others bear witness to Muscle Shoals’ magnetism, mystery and why it remains influential today.
Even Alicia Keys? Yoooo! Stream it on Netflix or cop at the link below whenever you like.
Point Break (Trailer)
Hmmm… big-wave surfing, wing-suit flying, snowboarding, free rock climbing, and motorcycling chases… this could be some “Furious 7” on coke and steroids! However… I hope they don’t mess this movie up. The original was a classic. Check out the trailer above, and spring for the popcorn if you go see the movie (definitely filled with action & thrills). Due in theaters Christmas Day.
In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,†a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez).
