Umm, Mila J. Young lady, whatchu know ’bout this grown folk music. You’re just gonna I. Rich to get the Tony Toni Tone “Me & You” sample worked on in there on yours… over your syrupy sexy singing. Sounds good though. Kind of hard to resist.
So we won’t. Ha!
(But we will do a l’il some’n for the old-schoolers after the jump.)

Noisey Bompton: Growing Up With Kendrick Lamar (Part 1) [Video]
Surely you did not think it was a game when we said that Kendrick Lamar said he would rep Compton for life, did you? He got the Key To The City and he’s still locked in! Well, Noisey is dropping six parts of proof for the last one or two of you doubters out there. Yep, VICELAND Noisey sent one of their Whitest reporters out to the Blood side of Compton (that’s Bompton) to talk to K.Dot and give us perspective on the hood love he gets now and what it was like “Growing up with Kendrick Lamar.” Hood pass granted!
Compton, California, is one of Hip-Hop’s most celebrated locales, the birthplace of acts like N.W.A. and, more recently, Kendrick Lamar. It’s also home to a complicated gang culture. ‘Noisey Bompton’ centers around Kendrick Lamar and the friends he grew up with on the West Side of Compton, many of whom feature on the cover of his album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly.’ In the first of six segments, we sit down with Kendrick to talk about his acclaimed albums, pay a visit to his high school, Centennial, and get to know his childhood friend Lil L.
House Shoes – “KJVIII” (Mixtape)
Game recognize game. Detroit recognize Detroit. Beatmaster recognize Beatmaster James ‘J Dilla’ Yancey the late and still great! The beatmaster party of the first part, well that’s House Shoes. Doing what he do, he decided to tap back into that DJ House Shoes part of himself and digs deep into some crates to take us deep into Dilla’s sample vault for this “KJVIII” mix. Nice.
The King James Version.
Part III.
God Bless.

Dillon x Paten Locke – “Fall Back” feat. Boog Brown
Something about the cover art for this one. Nice (shout to Cool Calm Pete). Off the “Food Chain” album wholly produced by Paten Locke, this single is called “Fall Back.” And yes, you read the headline right. There is a confirmed Boog Brown sighting… er… hearing on this jawn. Enjoy!

Ghostface Killah – “Starry Winters†feat. Killah Priest (Prod. By Spok Beats) [Video]
All about the oil. Ghost and Priest talking about ‘catching the vapors’ the modern way again. The duo goes IN on this “Starry Winters”… in on the beat; and on the Wu Goo oil. Get your lighters and press play above.
Cuchifrito (The Soul Food Trap Anthem) [Video]
And here we go. Trap music is EVERYWHERE! Hilarious… but I will admit to bouncing a bit to this beat. Cool AND funny!

Science/Technology: Doctors Can 3D Print Body Parts And Tissue (Video)
Above: Surgeon Anthony Atala talking about the real possibility (read: eventuality) that humans will be able to manufacture replacement parts for their bodies as easily as they make parts for cars (cars have bodies, get it?). The video punctuates recent huge steps in a positive direction in the science. Consider a convo about ink refills for your laser printer so you can turn your school paper in on time. Now, swap in 3-D printer refills; and the story could very well be about getting refills to generate another organ (kidney, liver), so you can turn it… into a second chance at life!
(Imagine: Honey, I burned myself badly again. Can you pick up a couple of organ material refills. I need to print up some replacement skin. Wowww!)
How real is this? Doctors (headed by Dr. Atala) at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine announced yesterday that they’ve managed to 3D print “living” tissue and organs that functioned properly when implanted in animals. Human trials are probably not that far away.
Daredevil (Season 2 Trailer)
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen.
Season 2 of “Daredevil” is gonna make it Netflix with no chill! Look at the trailer maaaaan! Are you seeing The Punisher emerge in the Frank Castle character. Witness an Elektra so fine that Daredevil can ‘see’ her! Whew, life is a real roller-coaster for our man Matt.
Scarface – “Cold Shoulder” feat. Ray J (Prod. By Chuck Heat)
Say what you will about Ray J, he do some damage on some hooks. This one, for example, that he did for Scarface… proof positive that dude has still got it. Check out Uncle Face on his new single “Cold Shoulder” (produced by Charles “Chuck Heat” Henderson) off “Deeply Rooted.”
Compton Awards The ‘Key To The City’ To Kendrick Lamar (Video)
Man, I’m overwhelmed… y’all got to give me a second…
Kendrick Lamar. Yes, the Dr. Dre protege; the Grammy winner (winning on stage, too); the dude doing good from the Hood to the [White] House; and now, recipient of the Key To The City Of Compton. Watch him in all graciousness, and almost no glamorizing. Love shown by the city for the love he has and always will show right back. Respect!
Shout out to Jeandra LeBeauf and BadCulture.net for capturing this proud moment for us all.
Bastille Day (International Trailer)
Consider this a too Black, too strong ‘F#CK YOU’ to the Bond movie machinery that said ‘hell no’ to Idris Elba when he was up for the leading man role. We’ve been knowing dude could deliver big time super agent action. Ain’t the movie biz funny though? Instead of letting Brit Elba do a Brit fiction, we get him as a CIA operative (read: American) in France on a mission in “Bastille Day.”
Wow.
Koache – “Turn Me Back” feat. Xzibit (Prod. By Nottz)
Woooooo! The beat drops and the head nod is automatic. Listen and witness! Nottz with another bit o’ beat genius. Best believe Koache and X-to-tha-Z beat that track down, too!
Koache teams up with the Legendary Xzibit on this Nottz produced track to remind you that no-matter how hard you try to change your old ways, there is always something or someone steadily trying to turn you back around. You just have to stay focused and keep moving forward through it all.
Koache’s debut, “Game Point,” is due out March 8, 2016. You can pre-order that below if you’re feeling this “Turn Me Back.”

Comedy: The Day Beyoncé Turned Black (Video)
Beyoncé at the 12 o’clock spot MUST be Eye Candy, right? Normally you’d be right (and we’d be ready for all that jelly). But this…this is a different flavor. Saturday Night Live did a goofy spoofy skit that might miss the funny bone of some. Eff them, this is hilarious! FoxNews went ham sandwich on Bey the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday. But remember, she dropped the “Formation” video before; and that was “The Day Beyoncé Turned Black!” Hahahaaaaaa!
Dayne Jordan – “Family Man” (Video)
For the unsung heroes, the everyday role models. From the album “Memoirs of Dayne Jordan.”
Man, this latest Dayne Jordan jawn reached so deep the first time I watched (my count is six times as of this post). “Family Man” was produced by the incomparable DJ Jazzy Jeff, making the song a Philly brothers connection. Wanna make this sub a real Philly… put in The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air clip of Will Smith in PAIN when his dad dipped on him AGAIN! Yep, right at the heart of the video, so it cuts deep (shout to director Cristopher Schafer, the same genius that brings us ‘Vinyl Destination’)!
And comedian Top Rope Zeus took his role as a dad on the ropes in the fight we call real life. Too real. I’ve gotten that ‘this is your last day letter and handshake’… twice!
Get to watching; again and again. Jordan! And it counts!

The real definition of Love & Hip-Hop, so don’t confuse us with that stupid sh!t.
Short and RAW! Lord Finesse produced the next D.I.T.C. jawn to drop – “16 & Out.” Get it? ‘Cause A.G. dropped a hot azz 16 and… well, he was out! Dope and you KNOW it.
Dave East – “Life Like” (Video)
Whew! This is that FIRE sirs and madams. This is that real something you feel Hip-Hop (but you knew that when you saw Dave East’s name in the byline). Check the visual for the latest off the “Hate Me Now” FREE mixtape (linked below) entitled “Life Like.”
