Robert De Niro lends his voice and theatrical weight to this short film project, “Ellis.”
The short film stars Academy Award Winner Robert De Niro, was written by Academy Award winner Eric Roth and directed by the artist JR whose Unframed art installations in the abandoned Hospital complex serve as the set for this powerful and timely film.
Wonder if there will be any insights on modern immigration debates and issues embedded in this film. Check that. Wonder if there will be any overtly deliberate references to today’s immigration debate.

One thing about Atlanta is the range of events that happen here. Whether it is a Hip Hop Show, EDM or the Ballet & Symphony. Or it could be a Falcons, Hawks, Braves game or NASCAR event. Besides those well known events you have cool niche events like BonFire ATL, Elevated ATL and 787 Graffiti Ball. The 787 Graffiti Ball recently went down here in Atlanta at 787 Windsor St. An event where the first 250 people who RSVP’d got a free spray can for the event.
What is Graffiti Ball ? Well it is a night dedicated to the art of Scribbling, Scratching, and Defacing. Not only is it a chance for the everyday person to do some graffiti without having to look over their shoulders for cops. Some of the biggest and emerging aerosol artists are brought together ranging from NYC, Miami, and of course here in Atlanta. One of the well known ATL artists represented was DR. The city of Boston or just say the state of Massachusetts is producing some great upcoming talent in Hip Hop. A lady that we have been up on early is Dutch Rebelle, who continues to make quality projects with great visuals. Sticking to that script she has a video for “Air It Out” the Slurrty produced track that features Jefe Replay is off her Kiss Kiss EP out now! The visuals match the track perfectly definitely a feel good vibe. I think I need to book a trip to Boston and hang out with Dutch & Marquis in Beantown. If the clubs and the cookouts are going down like in this video count me in!

So much creativity is coming out of Chicago right now. Â Mick Jenkins is one of the artists that is making this statement true. Â His latest project Wave[s] is out now and one of my favorite tracks is “Your Love”. Â So I was pleased to see that he did a visual for it and he keeps the creativity going doing a 70’s tribute. Â From the fashion to cars in the video it is a playful video with beautiful women who are not dancing around in thongs. Â Just a fun loving video for a good feeling track.

So one of the coolest experiences happened this weekend with my homie 14KT. While he was on his travel excursion across Europe, KT came to visit me in Norwich where I reside at the moment. This was our first time meeting in person after hearing about each others work and talking over the internet for the last few years. Whilst discussing ideas on how to make a new track, we decided to take our field recorders outside and record all kinds of sounds around the city of Norwich. This is a work in progress. The American Dream is threatened by a rapidly shrinking middle class. Millions of Americans are strapped with debt, higher costs of living and lower paychecks. How did it get so bad?
This AJ+ is a must watch. Cuts through high brow talk and all the political discourse about the direction of the U.S. economy. The so-called middle class that most of us want to get into or climb through… it’s damn near gone. Adjusted median household income is less now than it was in 1989… nineteen-eighty-f##cking-NINE!! And as a people we are getting deeper into debt, facing higher costs of living and barriers to access to healthcare and advanced education…
Enough. Dammit enough!!!
