The producers are also making noise like Kaytranada, and today we speak with his HW&W label mate Elaquent who just released a new album titled “Good Karma”. Â It’s eleven original beat tracks that you can groove to. Â He exclusively spoke with Jayforce.com about his new project. Recently the country has had their eyes on Texas yet again for another encounter of cops and the treatment of Black Women. Â A couple months back there was the incident of cops in McKinney TX violently attacking young black children and a young sista was slammed to the ground and sat on by a Race Soldier I mean officer of the law. Â Now in Waller County, TX the sad story of Sandra Bland who was found dead in her jail cell after she was arrested for a turn signal violation. Â The local cops have claimed it is suicide but the Bland family disagrees and thinks their is foul play. Â A lot of people across the country thought the same especially since Sandra Bland was an outgoing 28 year old who just landed her dream job at her alma mater Prairie View A&M University. Â That doesn’t strike me as someone who wants to kill themselves over a traffic stop. Â Dr Boyce Watkins uses his platform to speak on this topic and invites Yvette Carnell founder of ( BreakingBrown.com ) & Benjamin Dixon ( TheBenjaminDixonShow.com ) to join him and go deeper into this incident and what it represents. Â The sad reality is this traffic stop led to this woman’s death and the officer who is paid to protect and serve did his part to ignite confrontation. Noooo, not in “Baby Boy”… He was singing on the bus in the Coca-Cola commercial way before that. Well, Sean Price remembers. And with Tyrese going back on public transit to sing and promote his “Black Rose” album, P! likely felt it was time for him to do some piggyback promo (or just act a damn fool, same difference) for his “Songs In The Key Of Price” album (due out August 21, 2015).

The Bumbershoot Festival In Seattle September 5-7th, 2015

Summer is upon us which brings BBQ’s, pool parties, vacations and just enjoying nice weather.  The other great part of Summer is Music Festivals!  No shortage of great festivals across the nation of course we highlight local ones here in Atlanta.  Plenty of festivals in NY and along the East Coast are always highlighted but we want to show some love and invite you to check out a pearl of a festival up in the Pacific North West (Seattle to be exact)  called Bumbershoot!  This year’s festival taking place September 5,6, & 7th (Labor Day Weekend)  celebrates the 45th yr of Bumbershoot quite an accomplishment.  When you look at the many people who have played here it’s an amazing list ranging from Isaac Hayes to Beck from T.I. to The Black Keys from Public Enemy to George Clinton & Bootsy Collins.  That’s just a sample but it shows how diverse the lineups can be.  Last year we covered the festival providing exclusive content on the site.  Bringing you interviews with SZA, audio of J.Cole & Schoolboy Q performing and Wu Tang Clan who headlined the opening night of the festival!  We will be heading back again this year to see great acts like Flying Lotus, Jhene Aiko, Chance The Rapper, The Weeknd and many more.  Not just music there are seminars and a comedy & film branch of the festival.  CLICK HERE to see our posting from last year.  click after  the jump to see full lineup and think about making the trip to the great city of Seattle and enjoy great music!

Â Their latest video is for the track “Life I Love” a smooth track with the beat produced by Ski Beatz (he produced the entire album). Â You have the Diamond Crooks Sonny Cheeba & Geechi Suede leaving a bank with a bag full of money and riding through NYC. Â Now how did they get that money who knows? Like some 70’s playas though they didn’t run from the bank they walked out the from door now how cool is that. Â The toothpick avengers still pulling off heists LOL!
