This new joint from Nipsey Hussle featuring Rick Ross is probably where those past rumors of “Neighborhood Nip” possibly signing to Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group were coming from. This “Proud Of That” joint seems like it may have been in the stash but it conveniently dropped as Rick Ross was holding a press conference for his recent signings to his label in which Nipsey wasn’t found to be a part of when it concluded. Not sure if this will officially appear on Nipsey’s upcoming “iHussle” project, but check it out while you can below…..

Without a doubt this is one of my favorite rap songs of the past year off Wale’s latest album “Ambition”. Not only does the song sound dope from a production standpoint, but Wale, Rick Ross, & Meek Mill seem to capture the stress of the average black man trying to make in it America. Far too often people see all the successes but forget the struggle to get to those trophies. This song is about every man who has some ambition to be greater than their immediate conditions. It’s no secret why I was bangin’ this song out on my radio show….

Saturday Morning Ricky Rozay hops on a private jet to perform at the Blizzard Ski Trip & does a brief interview on the plane. That same evening the Bawse arrives at the Orlando Executive Airport & host “HANGER 12”. Sunday night he caps off the weekend with a party at a club called “BEACHUM” – Maybach Music Group

I labeled this as “MTV’s Hottest Emcees Rappers In The Game” because not everyone on this list is an “emcee”….some are just rappers or singers. Either way it is what it is…Rap lists these days don’t hold much weight, but if you’re a real hip hop head like myself then you’ll chuckle out loud at some of things said by people on this panel. Ah well…What’d you expect from MTV & the current state of radio & rap music these days…Overall it’s just a reflection of how bad “mainstream” rap music is. There’s plenty of great music out there, but most of it ISN’T on the radio unfortunately. One thing I was surprised about was seeing the homie @BosNaud was on this panel. I haven’t looked at all the vids as of yet so I hope he represented well. Honestly I don’t feel like Drake would win a lyrical battle against Chi-town’s finest emcee unless someone wrote the battle raps for him. On a blackberry. Ironically enough Drake’s verse on this joint sounds like Rick Ross wrote it.

What I learned while I was in Johannesburg was that Rick Ross was easily one of the top 3 favorite rappers among the masses of hip hop fans in that country besides Kanye West & Lil Wayne.
