Here’s part two of the roundtable discussion the homie Greesy assembled for his Top 5 Dead Or Alive Show. This special edition was based on Atlanta’s Top 10 Independent Hip Hop artists from now & then in the last 15 years. Although the first part of the of the show dealt with more of the classic artists who have been in Atlanta for a while, this particular segment is centered around the newer artists making their mark in Atlanta. I don’t just admire Jim Brown because of his physical prowess as an athlete back in his playing days, but also how he carries himself as a man & what he stood for. Many black athletes today can learn many lessons from Jim Brown & if they had the opportunity I’d encourage them to seek his counsel. Although ‘You Really Got A Hold On Me’ isn’t one of Smokey Robinson & The Miracles most well known singles, it’s a personal favorite of mine. If you happen to be an artist watching these videos you need to study Smokey Robinson & The Miracles’ movements in these clips. Not only are they performing live vocally, but the dance steps are so on point with precision its a wonder how they don’t bump into each other. Pay attention artists. Stretch & Bobbito Celebrate 20 Years With Reunion Show In NYC (Video)

Last night Stretch & Bobbito celebrated the 20th anniversary of the show they made famous back in the 90s. The Stretch & Bobbito show on 89 Tec 9 (WKCR) Columbia University was a New York City staple for breaking new talent & supporting that real hip hop. Its great to see these guys still getting love from fans & the artists they helped over the years. Last year they celebrated over the airwaves on 89.9 but this year they made it an even greater event by having the artists come down & perform for the fans. Peace be unto the people of Egypt, for they have been protesting a little over three weeks now. This ordeal will definitely be one for the history books. Hopefully, the future author(s) will report what is happening in truth. I still remember the lies my teachers told me. I didn’t appreciate that. It’s still Black History Month so, I wanted to contribute to the remembrance of those that fought for what was right. Truly, everyday Black History should be celebrated. Never forget.

Raekwon Says Gza Turned Down An Opportunity To Be In The Juice Crew (Video)

I love hearing these behind the scenes stories in hip hop or the music industry in general like this. They are like little gems of information that are always fun facts to know. While being interviewed by XXL for during their webcast, Raekwon dropped a jewel about how Gza from the Wu-Tang Clan had the opportunity to join the legendary Juice Crew back in the day with Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, Marley Marl & others. Just imagine….in a parallel universe Gza is making an appearance in the classic ‘Symphony’ video……
