Wow. Sometimes (read: more often than you think) the byproducts of science and engineering as, or more, fascinating than the intended project. Case in point: NASA’s rocket booster testing in ‘nowhere, in the middle of nowhere’ Mississippi. The intent was to test some very expensive, very large, very VERY loud boosters. The byproducts – big billowing clouds RAIN clouds!
Seeding clouds for rain? Nah. That’s 20th Century maaaaan. NASA is making clouds… on the side… just because!

Guinness World Record Holder Twista Stills Spits Fast As Sh!t (Video)

I remember when Twista was going for the rap speed record… and being astonished that there was even such a Guinness World Record for that. No need to try to guess my age, but I was watching the ep. of him on Yo! MTV Raps when he spoke on it. Long time ago. Think dude’s still got the sniping skills?

Twista opened up to VladTV about being considered one of the first rappers to come out of Chicago, as he explains that he and Common released their albums the same year. Moving along, Twista detailed setting himself apart from other rappers with his fast rhyming skills, which got him into the Guinness Book of World Records. During the sit-down Twista spit a line from the record-winning rap that got him the high distinction of fastest rapper, which you can hear more about above.

The first two episodes of “Ball in the Family†— a docu-series about Lonzo Ball and his family will premiere Aug. 31 on Facebook. “Ball in the Family†is one of the first original TV-style shows it’s using to launch Facebook Watch: 10 episodes will air this fall.
So, it’s just about Lonzo and Melo, right? They’re the ones in the freeze frame before you click play. Ha! You KNOW their pops is gonna figure prominently in this. It is a REALITY show… and LaVar is definitely part of their reality.

To all the climate change deniers: How was it that we made all kinds of plans, and reacted with all kinds and fervor and enthusiasm, to the Eclipse [Across America] – a phenomenon predicted by science – but NOT even flinch or flitter at the very real, very scientifically-founded warnings of pending planet-wide doom due to climate change (global warming, whatever you wanna call it)? Is it because beach chairs will become useless for the beachfront after the ocean level rises? Maybe because you’ll need good galoshes to go anywhere downtown in NYC? C’mon son!
Neil deGrasse Tyson weighs in on why climate change is subject to political debate and examines the privilege of wondering about space in “Astrophysics for People in a Hurry.”

It should, especially for these gentlemen who have proven that they have ‘Indian in their blood’ (as my elders used to say). But this video is more about similarities in Native American and African American heritages. This is about linkages, bonds, relationships between our peoples. Set aside about a half-hour and get this knowledge!
On the next Another View, a history lesson on the Cheroenhaka-Nottoway Indian Tribe of Southampton County, Virginia – and how a man named Walter Ashby Plecker forever changed the relationship between Native Americans and African Americans in this part of Virginia.

Not sure if you got your binge on with all “The Defenders” episodes yet, but apparently Netflix is not playing with y’all on the Marvel Universe front. Already dropped that new trailer for “The Punisher” – Marvel’s deadly antihero series set to release later this year. And for those who know, that sledgehammer wouldn’t just be for show).
According to ScreenRant, the episode titles will be 3 AM, Two Dead Men, Kandahar, Resupply, Gunner, The Judas Goat, Crosshairs, Cold Steel, Front Toward Enemy, Virtue of the Viscous, Danger Close, Home and Momento Mori.
Of course, these are TEASERS, so don’t expect all the red meat from what you see. Just enough to pique your interest… But recognize, some very bad people’s lives are gonna end very badly… on Netflix this year.

Jaysaun – “Voltron” feat. Ed O.G. x Slaine (Prod. By Teddy Roxpin)

Damn if these three don’t form up like the Lion Force, the way they went in on this Teddy Roxpin track! “Voltron” is an appropriate name for the ‘stronger together’ joint from Special Teamz (e.g. Edo G, Jaysaun, and Slaine).
Any cultivated underground rap fiend is well-versed in the epic legacy of Special Teamz, supergroup of raw and unapologetic Boston supergroups. So when Edo G, Jaysaun, and Slaine touch the same cut, it is always an occasion to note, with “Voltron” in this case being their first crew joint in years and a banger to boot. Over a dark and ominous creation of producer Teddy Roxpin, the trio returns with triumph and maelstrom on a track fit for a DJ set during happy hour in hell.
