Cover Story: Common And Kanye Part Ways Musically, And It’s All ‘GOOD’ (Video)
Well, we just posted on Busta Rhymes’ leaving Cash Money. Now, there’s another shift in the Hip-Hop cosmos…G.O.O.D. Music bids adieu to Chi-Town’s Common. Similarly, the rap titans (Kanye West and Common) have apparently parted on good terms; no animosity in Common’s commentary about the subject.
…‘Ye is my brother. Point-blank, business-wise, it wasn’t like…‘Ye wasn’t really like ‘Okay, let’s go do this. Let’s go do this album.’ It was like, ‘I’m ’bout to go do this album, ‘Ye. We friends, but if you ain’t really trying to…but if we ain’t gonna create together, it’s all good. We still brothers.’ I think his focus was somewhere else…Marriage, life, good places…I cherish our friendship more than music. I’m grateful for the music we did…
– Common
Good scoop by HipHop DX. Check out the RapFix interview clip above. Good seeing brothers wish the best to each other; whether together or on their own. Part of being grown.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk Tells Stephen Colbert: ‘We Should Go To Mars’ (Video)
Elon Musk (aka Marvel Comics’ character Tony Starks come to life) recently interviewed with Stephen Colbert, telling him that he is “aspiring to send people to Mars.” Of course, the billionaire who owns SpaceX has had his eyes on out-of-this-world travel, but his reasoning is intriguing. Worth watching the above clip for.
“…humanity as we know it is likely to propagate into the future much further than if we are a single-planet species…[It’s] life insurance, collectively…It would be the greatest adventure ever…really exciting and inspiring…it’s possible to transform Mars into an Earth-like planet.”
Very cool.

Black Milk – “Detroit’s New Dance Show”
Hey. In everybody’s town back in the day, local TV was where it was at. Local celebrity brought into your living room by DJ’s moonlighting as TV hosts, dancers and artists you knew from ’round the way getting a taste of stardom by appearing on the tube; broadcast citywide. Must have been that way for viewers of “Detroit’s New Dance Show.” Motown producer Black Milk remembers. And shares…in his own audible way. Stream below.
Activism: Spike Lee Edits NYPD Chokehold Victim’s Images Into “Do The Right Thing†(Video)
Last Thursday, Eric Garner, a 43-year-old father of six, died…on camera, in front of citizens of these United States. DAMN! Staten Island’s son passed away after being put in a lethal choke hold by police. The man had chronic asthma AND sleep apnea, but the cops could not have known that in their initial seconds of exercising force. BUT, soon enough (after he was on the ground) he told police officers he could not breathe many times. They literally choked the life out of the brother!!
If you are mumbling to yourself angrily, trying to square your feelings, and not throw a garbage can through a shop window. You, like us, know that the struggle is still very real. You may even flashback to that tragic scene with Radio Raheem and the cops in Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing.”
The above edited rendition is stirring. But hit the jump. That’s our fallen brother Eric ‘shopped into the image and shared by Spike Lee himself. Don’t tell us movies are ‘make believe.’ Too real. Disturbingly real.
Raekwon – “Give Me Your Love” (Remix)
Well, when you’re onto something… keep it up! This is like… the sixth… R&B throwback jawn jumped on by Wu-Tang’s Raekwon. This time he touches on Sylvia Striplin… um… her classic song. Check out his “Give Me Your Love†(Remix).
‘Limbo Skating’ By Gagan Satish Is A Must Watch! (Video)
How low can you go? Shiiiiid…not lower than little Gagan Satish. He’s been doing this skating thing since he was three; and could very well ‘limbo skate’ his way into the Guinness Book of Records!
Science: MIT Demonstrates How ‘Squishy Robots’ Could Be Made (Video)
So… shape-shifting robots. You’re thinking Transformers, right. Okay, okay. Good start. But that’s just a start. We’re being led by what we see on the box (TV, movie screen). Let’s let the folks over at MIT take the lead for a sec; get us thinking outside the box.
Imagine a robot that could flex smoothly at the joints, or could flex its entire body (chassis, or whatever). What kinds of environments and situations could such a robot get in and out of. We’ve posted on all kinds of robot prototypes… real and sci-fi; even snake-formed. But they were mostly rigid, clunky; not nearly as flexible as organic life.
But what if we could do that? What if MIT showed you some coolness that could be a HUGE first step toward making strong super-flexible robots! Click play above. Plenty of room outside the box!

R&B: Trey Songz – “Na Na” (araabMUZIK Remix)

4-IZE – “Bukkake Time” feat. Number 2 x Jarren Benton (Produced By Dynamite Bruhz)
Heh. They a fool for that artwork. Two of the 6 Rings crew, 4-IZE and Number 2, have Jarren Benton join to bust some flows all over the tracks. Considering the title and graphics, it’s probably not out of line to call what the emcees do on this one a triple team. Look up “Bukkake” if you are already slow by now. You’ll get all these ‘references.’ This song though, an eargasmic experience to say the least…and a good leak off 4-IZE’s album “Oprah’s Feet” (due out September 2014). Get the FREE download now!

Cormega with visuals for his commentary on Hip-Hop today – “Industry” – a single of the LP entitled “Mega Philosophy” (available via the iTunes link below). Busta Rhymes Speaking On The Why’s And How’s Regarding His Leaving Cash Money Records (Video)
Maybe you knew Busta Rhymes was signed to Cash Money Records a few years back. Well, if you didn’t, now you do. In truth, you are not slow any more, because Buss left the label. Now, why do you suppose that news bit wasn’t a hit across the Interwebs? Probably because there was no heat between Busta and Cash Money label head Baby amid the departure. No beef, no animosity. Grown men who are still cordial; friends at some level. Busta, saying enough but not too much, just reveals (above)… that it was time for him to move on. Good clip to watch for insight from a Hip-Hop vet still keeping it moving.

His New Music… On Pornhub? Coolio Says %#$! No (Video)
TMZ reported that Pornhub (a pornographic website) was ready to host all of Coolio’s new music. But Coolio says never that! Now, fact is, TMZ has footage of Coolio filming a music video for a song at a house in Sherman Oaks, California (popular town for porn shoots). Pornographic models were reported to be provided for the shoot by Pornhub.com. And indeed, there are some models getting pretty lude and nearly nude on camera (above). However, accounts get sketchy regarding the agreement between Coolio and Pornhub, in which he is to release all of his new material on the website.
Hip Hop DX reports that Coolio DENIES it ALL. And to Rolling Stone magazine he STRONGLY retorted, saying,
