Black Democrat Gets Clowned By A White Republican In Florida Over An Incorrect Jay-Z Quote (Video)

It’s no secret that I’m not the biggest Jay-Z fan although I respect his talent. I think my biggest issues maybe with so-called Jay-Z fans. I’m talking about people who probably never listened to his first album “Reasonable Doubt” but will debate with you about how the album was the hottest thing on the streets when it came out. Yeah right. Those same fans will quote a Jay-Z lyric to you, but don’t realize the line was borrowed from Biggie or some other lesser known rap artist. (See I’m A Writer Not A Biter for example). Most Jay-Z fans like the congressman in this video are caught up in media hype & into all the drama of Beyonce & Jay-Z’s reported business dealings instead of the art. In the above video a Black Democrat in the Florida house tries to use Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” song to make a point in his argument, but he’s gets clowned by a white republican who corrects his inaccuracies with the lyrics he used. Hilarious & sad at the same time. It figures a Republican would get Jay-Z lyrics correct because after all…. Jay IS a “Black Republican” right?….***Cue music***

ScHoolBoy Q performed in front of a packed out crowd in Atlanta and the event raised over 500 canned goods and nearly $1000 for Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless. One of my favorite hip hop producers of all-time The Alchemist just dropped his new “Rappers Best Friend 2” instrumental album but to further make fans aware of what he cooked up with the new project he let loose this instrumental from the project called “Gangster Sh*t Part II”. Many of the tracks are joints he had cooked up for artists that were used previously. Check out the artwork for the project under the hood & go on ahead & cop that. If you’re like me then you’d know Alchemist beats are so damn dope that sometimes I’d prefer to just listen to the beats instead of having any ‘ol rapper rhyme on them jawns anyway….

For this particular track I’m sure some heads may easily recognize the production & remember Nas’s “Street Dreams Remix” joint from years back. As a slight nod to the original version Phene spits some ‘real life’ type bars & even shot some scenes with his peeps in Chicago just like Nas did in the original remix years back….

One of the illest newcomers by way of Sacramento, Chuuwee is back with some new heat but this time he enlists the help of The Drum Addictz production team for “Lottery Ticket” which flips the classic “The Price Is Right” tv show theme. Back in the day Masta Ace’s running partner & producer Lord Digga was the first I remember to flip that sample very well for his 1998 underground gem “My Flows Is Tight” joint, but Chuuwee’s lyricism & the Drum Addictz do a good job with their own take too. Apparently this joint will appear on Chuuwee’s upcoming mixtape “Crown Me King” due April 24th….
