Yoooo! My bredren Odell always gets the best guests, but Tierra though… she’s a goddess! BEAUTIFUL! Her poise and countenance spoke before she said a word. Just regal! And then we hear from the Queen. Wow!

Had the pleasure of having Tierra Burrell AKA Tierra Goes Green join me on the Roundtable. We talked about health, helping people and the importance of going inward. She is a great businesswoman along with being a plant-based holistic thought leader who speaks around the country. Dr. Sebi’s Former Wife Ma’a & His Son Sesa Speak On The Coming Documentary And To Address Rumors (Video)

Wow. So, Dr. Sebi’s son Sesa says Nick Cannon is the only one who reached to tell the Doc’s story; not Nipsey Hussle. Worth leaning in and listening intensely to this clip for that tidbit and other insights.

Former wife of the late Dr. Sebi, Ma’a & his son Sesa stopped by Ebro In The Morning to bring clarity to misunderstandings, and confusion about the herbalist and healer whose name recently surfaced once again after the passing of Nipsey Hussle.

They also spoke on Left Eye & the last days of her life, whether Magic Johnson was really cured of HIV, Nick Cannon reaching out to complete the Dr. Sebi documentary, and also told stories of people who had used their program.

Ma’a just might end up getting that hashtag to trend (mentioned it in another interview posted on here)… #WereYouThere

Charlton Palmer Speaks On Being “CP The Artist” & Not Being Put In A Box On Odell’s Roundtable (Video)

Knowledge and confidence in self. VERY important! Watch as CP draws a parallel between his lane in the art world and the rap game. Dude has been ‘Kanye-ing the game’ for some time now. Another dope interview from the homie Odell.

Charlton Palmer aka CP The Artist is a self-taught artist who refuses to be locked down by a particular style or medium. A native of NJ who has made Atlanta his home now knows firsthand what it’s like to try and get your name out in a new city. He talks about how he balances working his craft while also having to be his own publicist and anything else it calls for to run his business. Common x The Sesame Street Muppets – “Respect” (Give It, Live It) [Video]

Usually only get Sesame Street infused with Hip-Hop when YouTubers take it upon themselves to do their own mashups. But this is cool. Push down that urge to judge it as corny and get the message and where it is aimed: Children (and parents) need this plain & simple direct messaging on RESPECT.

Messaging and respect. That’s as Hip-Hop as it gets, folks. Kudos to Common and all the Muppets on the Street for representing good values.

Britteny Speaks On Finding Herself As “Trap Yoga Bae” On Odell’s Roundtable (Video)

Ladies and gentlemen, I present the interview quote of this decade: “How can yoga help you when you are so stressed out that you wanna just slap a hoe?” Baaaahahaaa (but for real, how?)!

YOU MUST WATCH THIS! I always watch & listen when the homie Odell uploads a show because it will be QUALITY. The bonus here is the guest. Odell always invites the best to sit with him, but Britteny is FIRE! Heavy on the woke (consciousness) and just as heavy on the WOW (just look at her, Yeezus West)!

Britteny AKA Trap Yoga Bae stops by the Roundtable. Its a great discussion on how she built her brand from the ground up. She explains how she took on Yoga just as a way to relieve stress and it’s led to her purpose. She breaks down some of her ratchet affirmations & encourages us all to just do some good in the world. This was a fun episode!

More than a couple of ‘aww’ moments on this behind-the-scenes short from the Patriot Act set. Still funny though.

RIP Nipsey Hussle (Video)

I hoped against all hope that it was not true, but CNN and major news and online reporting outlets confirm that Nipsey Hussle died tragically, the result of a shooting near his clothing store, in the area of Crenshaw and Slauson. Born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, he was 33 years old.

Beyond the obvious, what is really saddening is that while Nip lived a lifetime in his short years, he had so much more to live for. He was fresh off a well-deserved Grammy nomination and consistently recognized for his solid body of work in rap, his noteworthy successes in business, and his neighborhood activism in keeping with global thinking and local action. But he was due for more: J. Cole and Drake both shared that they were set to do songs with him and would miss his presence. He was in the final stages of buying up the block [where his business operates] and bringing peace & brotherhood to his hood. And we just posted on the committed relationship and family life he had built with Lauren London on here.

Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle died after a shooting in Los Angeles near a clothing store he owned, according to a high-ranking law enforcement official with the Los Angeles Police Department. CNN’s Brooke Baldwin discusses with DJ HeadKrack.

Such a loss for us all. In time, we will heal. But for now, we will mourn. Rest In Peace, Neighborhood Nip.

Politics: Hasan Minhaj On Hip-Hop And Streaming (Video)

Great show on the impact of Hip-Hop… on Hasan himself and the world!

On the latest episode of Patriot Act, Hasan dissects how the rise of music streaming on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud has influenced the sound, reach, and impact of modern day Hip-Hop. While streaming technology has led to the commercial viability of SoundCloud rappers, it is simultaneously enabling rap as a viable form of protest against oppressive regimes around the world.

Get your laughs, but pay attention and learn something. ‘Professor’ Minhaj is always teaching with his humor.
