Okay. So all we need to do is get a bunch government agencies and companies to push the design, manufacture, implementation, and maintenance of a high-speed magnetic transport tube tech that can be loaded and unloaded while maintaining a vacuum that allows for the minimal resistance supersonic travel. Admittedly, no small feat. But look. We now see proof that it can be done!

Caught my ear and that led to me catching myself head knodding. So, respect due, I have to big up Hassan for flagging me down on the Internet ‘super highway’ and getting me to sit still and listen. You just have to watch this and take it in. It is from a bygone era, so do not terminology totally get you in your feelings. Realize though, that this was a way the ‘market opportunity’ the Black consumer segment was presented.
Film commissioned by the Chicago-based publisher of Negro Digest, Ebony, and Jet to encourage advertisers to reach out to African American consumers. The Secret of Selling the Negro depicts the lives, activities, and consumer behavior of African American professionals, students, and housewives. A Business Screen reviewer noted that the film focused on the “bright positive†aspects of the “new Negro family.â€
NOTE: The sponsor issued a companion booklet offering the “do’s and don’ts of selling to the Negro.â€

Tyrin Turner Reveals That “Menace II Society” Was An Answer To A Prayer (Video)

How crazy is that? Well not too crazy actually, depending on where you hold the power of spirituality in your life. But according to the clip above, the “Menace II Society” opportunity (to play Caine) came along in time to answer Tyrin Turner’s desperate plea to the Heavens from his front lawn; right as moms was really pressuring him to get a job and live a ‘responsible life’ that he did NOT want to live.
Los Angeles actor Tyrin Turner here speaks to VladTV about the chain of events that led to him landing the role of Caine in “Menace II Society,” and the group of actors and musicians he worked with on the film, among them Jada Pinkett, Too Short, and 2Pac. Pac, Turner says, read for a part in the movie but wasn’t happy with his character. “2Pac came into the reading. We all started rehearsing and in the middle of it 2Pac was like, ‘Man, I can’t get into this character.'” Get the full story above.

David Bamberger Shows How He Brought Life Back To The Barren Texas Hill Country (Video)

Kind of cool. You know, in our posting about colonizing Mars we probably should be talking more about making the unlivable land inhabitable. Kind of like David is doing here. A bit easier to do on Earth, what with the breathable air, centuries of civilized existence, and access to society making inputs on the same planet. Still, David boldly went on his mission to make a natural paradise of the rough Texas Hill Country.
Almost 50 years ago, fried chicken tycoon David Bamberger used his fortune to purchase 5,500 acres of overgrazed land in the Texas Hill Country. Planting grasses to soak in rains and fill hillside aquifers, Bamberger devoted the rest of his life to restoring the degraded landscape. Today, the land has been restored to its original habitat and boasts enormous biodiversity. Bamberger’s model of land stewardship is now being replicated across the region and he is considered to be a visionary in land management and water conservation.

Technology: Scientists Create ‘Chemputer’ Designed To Grow Drones (Video)

Crazy. Not only would this manufacturing method be quick, but the customization possibilities could be limitless! If we get to the level of on-demand ‘made to order’ drones… wow! The range of uses alone would be exciting… and at least a touch scary (since it would first be used by the military AND those drones look like some Skynet *ish off the Terminator movies). Still, incredible concept tech though.
During this century, scientists and engineers from BAE Systems and The University of Glasgow envisage that small Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs) bespoke to military operations, could be ‘grown’ in large-scale labs through chemistry, speeding up evolutionary processes and creating bespoke aircraft in weeks, rather than years.
