Damn. I… DAMN! This is a great idea. All that is left is the delivery. What if we took the guttural energy of the “Rocky” franchise, put it in a movie, but not necessarily a sequel? How about a movie about a son – not Rocky Balboa’s, but Apollo Creed’s son – that we never knew about? That kid, could come up HARD, like his dad. Gravitating toward boxing, as a metaphor for a life rife with fights, this kid could be brash and indignant – just like his dad – but not like his dad. He doesn’t even have to like his dad; because he never knew his dad.
But he knew of his dad’s greatness… and his dad’s great in-ring nemesis and out-of-ring friend… the guy his dad trained to go next level [against Clubber Lang]… the guy who seconded in his corner the night his dad DIED in the ring…
The guy who would ultimately coach him to greatness. WOOOOO! Balboa teams with a Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan) again. Give him the damn red, white and blue shorts. LET’S GO!!!
Oh wait, it doesn’t come out until this Fall (November 25, 2015). In the meantime, watch this trailer for “Creed” – from the makers of [Jordan’s breakout biopic] “Fruitvale Station.” Please, Hollywood, PLEASE get this right.

ATL Event: Tariq Nasheed “Code of Conduct” Lecture Tour July 11th

Right now in America a lot of turmoil is going on. We just experienced the murder of 9 people by the terrorist Dylan Roof in Charleston SC. We still have the scars from Baltimore and Ferguson that went down this year. Not to mention black children being attacked in Texas at pool parties. Tariq Nasheed, NY Times best selling author & critically acclaimed film producer of Hidden Colors Movie Series, has talked about black people in America getting a “Code of Conduct”. This Code of Conduct he speaks of does not deal with Religion or joining an organization it deals with us collectively having a similar mindset on issues that affect our community. Well he has decided to come to the people to talk about this and he is going to Philadelphia, Detroit, and the city we are based out of Atlanta. The lecture in Atlanta takes place July 11th at the Alliance Theater located in the Woodruff Arts Center. This is a great venue and it is sure to be a fun filled night. Nas – Obey Your Thirst (Documentary)

Nas will get to tell his full Sprite documentary story – that is, it is set to drop – July 1, 2015.
“There was nothing more important to me than having a voice,” says Nas in the above trailer for his Obey Your Thirst documentary. “I always believed that I could give people my ideas through art.” Considering how mythologized he’s become thanks to his virtuosic lyricism — which earned him a spot 20 years ago in his classic 1997 Sprite ad — it’s a trip to hear what originally drove him to break into the world of Hip-Hop.
Just more evidence that the smart money is on the G.O.D.M.C. Always has been. Sprite’s known for 20+ years. Others have been catching up. Catch the trailer documentary above.

2 Chainz Scopes Out West Coast Customs’ Most “Expensivest” Cars (Video)

You know we love custom cars & fly vehicles around here at JAYFORCE.COM so it’s only right we’d be geeked about the latest episode of 2 Chainz’ web series with GQ called ‘The Most Expensivest Sh!t.’ In this episode ‘Tity Boi’ stops over to see the owner of West Coast Customs who were largely responsible for the huge success behind MTV’s ultra popular program “Pimp My Ride.” One of the standout vehicles in showcased in this clip is a $500,000 customized DeLorean tricked out for 2015 but made famous from the old ‘Back To The Future’ movies.

NPR: “Tiny Desk Concerts” Series Welcomes Oddisee (Video)

One of my favorite albums of 2015 so far is The Good Fight by Oddisee. Â So when NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Series invited the DC emcee to come perform some tracks off his new album I was excited. Â Oddisee does not disappoint with his performance backed by a live two piece band he rocks the NPR offices. Â Performing the tracks That’s Love, Contradiction’s Maze, and Belong to the World he got the crowd involved and sounded as clear as he does on the album. Â It’s refreshing to see a Hip Hop artist rock a show no frills no loud screaming and 20 people on stage and still have the crowd enthralled by the performance. Â Good job fighting the Good Fight Oddisee!
