Two topics that are about ‘blowing up’ in their own ways. Truthfully always thought that the drug game was going the way of pills more so than that ‘ron… And “modernizing” our nukes, never really thought of that. But VICE did. Glad they are on the job.
America is facing the worst drug epidemic this country has ever seen: more people are dying from overdoses than from car accidents-and at the center of it is an explosion in the use of heroin. Thomas Morton traces the causes and impacts of the crisis, from the poppy farms of Mexico to the hills of West Virginia, and investigates how users, first responders, and government officials are responding to the new reality of American drug use.

A pop-up clothing shop lets you get warm 300 feet up.
Cocona set up a shop 300 feet in the air in Colorado’s Eldorado Canyon. Climbers earned the clothing simply by making the ascent up the canyon’s Bastille Wall — no purchase necessary.
Cocona wants to show off their clothing, which is based on “37.5 technology” — it keeps climbers’ body temperature at 37.5 degrees Celsius, or 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Many climbers claim that temperature is ideal for endurance.

Former NYPD detective and “Hip-Hop Cop” Derrick Parker shared his thoughts on the Jam Master Jay murder case with VladTV, and he revealed that it may be solved despite 15 years going by. He explained that lack of witness cooperation and corroboration of evidence slowed the case down, but Parker now believes he knows who murdered the Run DMC legend.

It’s love-hate with me with Mark Cuban… It was love until he went in with all that Pittsburgh Steeler fandom. Now, I have no beef with the Steelers, for the most part, but in the 70s (what Cuban’s gushing about)… they kept the Houston Oilers out of the Super Bowl. And I am an OILER fan for LIFE!
Earl Campbell, Bum Phillips, Oilers. Shout to my FAMILY, cornerback Ezekiel “Zeke” Moore, Oilers. Billy “White Shoes” Johnson went to the Atlanta Falcons, so I watched the Falcons for a while, Oilers. Jerry Glanville used to coach the Falcons and I swore the Durty Bird jerseys turned baby blue, Oilers.
Yeah, I love the OILERS (not the Titans, not the Texans, old school Houston)! And the Steelers did not. Dammit!
*Sigh* But Mean Joe Green was a mean muddah suckah though. And the Eye Candy is cute (a bit “confused” but hella cute). Okay, the Cuban episode gets a pass Snoop.

Respect shout to Morgan State alum Duane Saunders Jr. who is putting us on to the National Anthem’s [conveniently] forgotten third verse (quoted in the next block) with this documentary “What So Proudly We Hail.” Might make you feel a new different way about #TakeAKnee
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,
A home and a country, should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave

The breakdown: Hireling and slave. That slave part… that’s Black people enslaved in the U.S. Many made a deal with the Brits, to join their side, gaining freedom if the Redcoats won… and the ‘real Americans’ (not us “three-fifths” humans, just living in America) got salty and wrong a song about it. Wanna hear it? It’s in the 3rd verse of the National Anthem. And that Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution part… Yeah, our ancestors “betrayal” (imagine their gall, making a deal with their SLAVEMASTERS’ enemy) was a pollution that their spill blood had washed away. As in the song celebrated our ancestors’ deaths in battle (as opposed to beating, raping, and working us to death under the power of the lash and legislation). See, we (Black people) could not be saved from the terror of flight. The Americans’ valor, the flag waving in evidence of it, o’er the land of the FREE (not us) and the home of the BRAVE (nah, they thought us traiterous cowards)!

Real ‘Muricans are quick to tell us to love it or leave it… today. Why not let us ‘leave it’ back in the day when you enslaved us? We had to enlist and take up arms and FIGHT you, and this would not be the last time, to be FREE to LEAVE. And miss us with the “Why can’t we just drop it and move on?” argument. Drop it?!? Hell, like that 3rd Anthem verse, we have yet to ‘pick it up’ for real.
