TK Kirkland Speaks On Tensions Between Terry Crews & DL Hughley (Video)
Wow. The mentor and O.G. puts it down! Admittedly, I fell for Vlad’s clickbait title tactic in starting to watch this, but TK spoke some realness here.
In this clip, TK Kirkland speaks on the recent debate between his friends Terry Crews and DL Hughley, of which he believes that they both should be entitled to their own opinions. For that reason, he wishes they would just agree to disagree, while pointing out the irony that Crews threatened to slap Hughley yet not the man who abused him. Later on, he also questions why Crews felt the need to wear high boots and a purse to the Grammy awards, while both Kirkland and Vlad wonder if the actor’s crusade against “toxic masculinity’ is for a different reason altogether.

Politics: Hasan Minhaj On The Student Loan Debt Crisis (Video)
Yooo! There’s a game show to pay off student loans?? I need, like REALLY need to go out for that… and WIN! Mr. President, student loan debt is REAL national emergency (eff that wall thing). Hasan speaks on it.
With Americans’ student debt now over $1.5 trillion, Hasan looks at how the federal government turned the Department of Education into the largest bank in America in terms of loans, and examines the department’s relationship with loan servicers. These private financial companies have benefitted from Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’ hands-off regulation that has made it easy for students to become trapped in debt.

Mob James Speaks On Suge Knight, 2Pac, Death Row, Mob Piru, And Brother’s Murder (Video)
Wow. Mob James was there for it all and therefore has the pedigree to speak on all he is covering with Vlad. Full interview embedded above.
In this full interview, Mob James recounts his experience at Death Row Records, which involves eye-witness accounts of many of the legendary stories revolving around 2Pac and Suge Knight. Mob James recalls there being a penitentiary mindset at the record company, where employees were essentially afraid to come to work. Furthermore, he states that Suge Knight was ultimately loyal to nobody but himself, while later suggesting that 2Pac died by involving himself in something that he had nothing to do with.

The Continuing Rise In Brazilian Butt Lifts & The Pressure To Be Curvy (Video)
Hmm. Did not know that Oprah brought this trend to light way back when it started. SUre wish the ladies did not feel like they need to risk their health and lives to get those bumps and humps we like. Please find those who love you just as you are ladies and rock with them. We cannot appreciate anything about that ‘new’ body if you are gone. Don’t give in to the pressure.
That said, I know it cannot be easy to live in a world where there is such social pressure to do what others (stars especially) already do to be more appealing. Watch this discussion on it whether you are thinking of doing something to your body or not, or know someone who might. Understanding is key.
In today’s social media society, Black women are faced with the pressure to be curvy. With the rise of the Kardashian Klan and the affordability of a Brazilian butt lift, the panel comes together to discuss the recent surge in plastic surgery amongst Black women. Can you go under the knife and still love yourself?

Hasan Minhaj On ‘Drug Pricing’ (Video)
Hard work keeping the funny in this half-hour monologue on a very serious matter: Price gouging by Big Pharma at the expense of more than half the U.S. citizenry. But Hasan did it.
On the latest episode of Patriot Act, Hasan dissects one of America’s most pressing issues: the rising cost of prescription drugs. Hasan breaks down how America’s complicated healthcare industry has lead to these price hikes over the past few decades, and looks specifically at how increases in insulin prices have impacted the millions of Americans that need it to survive.

Michael Jai White Speaks On Being Addicted To The Streets And Having Violent Thoughts (Video)
Wow. Never really thought of Michael Jai White coming from the streets like that. Sure he has an edge that comes through in his acting, but according to what he is telling Vlad it is coming from a real gangsta-influenced background. He just went the other way in his life.
In this clip, Michael Jai White detailed his tough upbringing and the time he spent in the streets. Michael said that he loved fighting growing up and was addicted to the street life. He revealed that he’d been in 12 shootouts over the course of his life and explained how he ended up taking guns from adversaries after beating them up.

And dude loved to fight. So much so he would rather be in a gang fight than hook up with the finest Honey in town! His words. Watch the clip.
(At least he gets to do both as ‘Black Dynamite.’ Ha!)
Politics: Hasan Minhaj On Saudi Arabia Banning ‘Patriot Act’ & Chinese Censorship (Video)
Aw, look at that. Hasan Minhaj’s “Patriot Act” is growing up before our eyes… It got major enough to make Saudia Arabia ban the show.
On the first new episode of Patriot Act in 2019, Hasan addresses the government of Saudi Arabia’s legal demand to take down an episode of the show in that country and turns his focus to another country with restrictive censorship laws: China. But by using the Internet, Chinese activists are making their voices heard and a determined #MeToo movement may be creating lasting change.

“Black, White, & Blue” Film Interview (Video)
The truth is… when you get stopped by the police, what you’ve got to realize – not to be disrespectful to anybody – but you’ve got to take into consideration that that’s an idiot stopping you.
And recognize that that ‘idiot’ has a gun. Raw talk from Scoon about his life and about the documentary right from the start. Scoon hit ’em with the way they flipped the American flag’s colors for the title right away.

Kamala Harris Speaks On Her 2020 Presidential Run And Where She Stands On Legalizing Marijuana & Criminal Justice Reform (Video)
“But I don’t know anything about any of the candidates…”
See, that there. That statement, or anything like it, is what I will NOT hear from y’all over the course of Campaign 2020… at least not when it comes to Democrats and maybe even some third party candidates for U.S. President. We already heard from Cory Booker on here a couple of months ago. Now we get to see what Kamala Harris is talking about.
Politician Kamala Harris stops by to explain why she decided to run for presidential office in 2020. The U.S. Attorney also touched on where she stands on marijuana legalization and the “nasty game” she’ll have to play going up against President Donald Trump in 2020.
