Of course, this triggers me. I’m from Tuskegee, Alabama, where the government carried out the syphilis study (medical research). Sure, this is science fiction, right? No way this could happen in real life. Right. Folks this kind of stuff has happened over and over. My vision ain’t blurry. And that’s not even my third eye seeing… that’s just history… readily available for anyone to read. Just Google “Tuskegee Experiment.”
Bitterness aside, I am still watching this. Fox’s “Gifted” is a good series, and this has a similar feel.

I’m not going to try to guilt you into anything, but you REALLY ought to vote this go ’round… the local representation is where it’s at. There are no ‘electoral college’ counts; your vote helps chose DIRECTLY – Congress, Governors, local offices, ordinances and amendments are all chosen by your vote.
See? If you did not vote in 2016 and you let President Trump happen… we’re not harping on that anymore. It’s done. And the insanity that the President and Senate just put on the U.S. Supreme Court… that was a ‘done deal’ back in 2016 when Trump won. Your action or lack thereof in 2016 affected 2018 politics which affected your LIFE; if the ‘right to choose’ for your body and yours & your children’s schooling means anything. Cavanaugh is the swing vote on those issues coming before the Supreme Court for the rest of his LIFE!
Okay, okay. I will stop and get down off my soapbox. Just VOTE DAMMIT!

We’re eating like a local in New York City with Meyhem Lauren. The first stop is Africa Kine in Harlem for lamb chops with Meyhem’s godbrother, Chrome. Then we’re off to El Tina in Washington Heights for fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, and a breathtaking seafood stew. To end the night, Meyhem heads to The Chipper Truck in the Bronx for curry fries and the elusive “Chip Buddy,” a french fry sandwich. This is a typical evening in the life of Meyhem Lauren, and he’s here to indulge.

Sean Paul is a dancehall icon and certified hit maker. But he’s also a ride-or-die obsessive when it comes to the food of his native Jamaica. Anxious to learn more about Jamaican curry goat, Horsepowar follows Sean and his latest Dutty Rock signee, Chi Ching Ching, to Glady’s Jerk Center in Brooklyn—a new-school home for Caribbean cuisine on Rogers Avenue. From a crash-course in patois, to a heated beef-patty taste test, Sean and Chi Ching school Horsepowar on all things Jamaican before diving into a couple heaping bowl of curry goat and oxtail. I wonder how this ep came to be. I mean, I believe Jada was getting numbers and moving her own ship with her own steam. And while the ‘why’ behind husband Will saying ‘yes’ to a sit-down is a no-brainer, it doesn’t seem to be needed. Perhaps that makes it a bit more authentic: They/Will did not have to do this. But man, did he (one of the best)! Just watch. And these are just ‘outtakes’ (full episode embedded after the jump).
Following months of “Red Table Talk†shooting in their house, Jada Pinkett Smith invites Will on as a guest and he finally realizes the scope of her massive TV show.
