So, the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, had to have an emergency appendectomy just days ago. See his comical recount of what was a f#cked up emergency room experience. Besides the ‘waiting room’ shot, this was my fav quip from the above clip: Asked for more info to fill out endless forms while in excruciating (near blackout) pain, Trevor responds,
“What more information do you need, other than the fact that I’m dying?”
Ever a political hot topic in the U.S., many always bring up the fact the MANY nations abroad provide free/better healthcare than America’s. But you may have wondered if folks from other countries say U.S. healthcare is better somehow. Well, let’s hear from someone who has now experienced both.

Interviewer Armen Keteyian guides viewers’ discovery of a monster shutdown defensive back on-field; but off-field, a humble New Jersey guy living above a restaurant (save those millions man) who enjoys art and plays drums in his spare time.
Great watch. Unless you’re one of the poor receivers that spends a Sunday on “Revis Island” I guess.

He talks up the line up of guest appearances on his album (like Dead Prez, Chuck D and Kam) that spit righteous revolutionary fire on “Pistol Politics,” too. Apropos for these times of inadequate education, rampant poverty, police brutality and more afflictions affecting our community #BlackLivesMatter

Carmelo Anthony Goes To Puerto Rico, To ‘Stay Melo’ In The Hood To Do Some Good And More (Video)

New Stay Melo ep on VICE Sports for y’all. Last one was about Cuba. This time it’s Puerto Rico.
Carmelo Anthony recognizes, like most looking outside in, that Puerto Rico is currently in economic decline. But to Melo it’s a place of family, opportunity and a growing sports culture. He goes to chill (Melo out, if you will) but also to do some goodwill and good work. Spent a few days training with a group of fellow Knicks, seeing the stadium that will house his Puerto Rico FC NASL team, riding out to La Perla (one of Puerto Rico’s most notorious hoods), hanging out with reggaeton legend Tempo (home after a 12 year prison bid) at one of the b-ball courts Melo has refurbished for the community and more stuff.
Sure, ballers are in the League…balling. But with all that wealth, if you aren’t doing something…you got nothing! Just saying. Now, watch and listen as Melo does something; and shares and wrestles with his vision for what he’d like to accomplish in PR.

Wow… sometimes we need Eye Candy to touch our souls. You might think a rapid-fire interview of “73 questions” would either be not-so-engaging (at best) or annoying (more likely). But with classy lady Lupita … the answer is C – none of the above.
Lupita Nyong’o reveals a few of her (many) talents, from speaking Swahili and Spanish, to showing off her impressive hula hoop skills. The Oscar-winning actress also reflects on what it was like to move to Mexico at age 16 without her parents, how she learned to cry on demand, what life was like as a Hollywood production assistant, and what it took to bring her upcoming Star Wars character to life.
Isn’t she lovely? And just when you think the clip is all about inner beauty (which she definitely has)… BAM! She shows us she is wearing the very form-fitting yellow dress like WHOOOAAA! Watch and enjoy.

The challenges or having expectations on his shoulder; they’d come anyway. He pushes hard to earn. But being seen as just ‘some dude flowing over Dilla beats,’ or as some Slum Village hanger-on… nah, miss him with that.
