“Black Panther” Could Be Marvel’s Most Important Movie Release To Date (Video)
Okay, Complex News. “Black Panther” as the best movie in the Marvel Universe when it drops? Like that?? We’ll see (and hope the prediction comes true).
The Blackest Superhero Movie EVER! Dope!!

Cardi B On Her Approach To Making Money & Music And Her Dating Preferences (Video)
Very interesting interview snip with Cardi B. Don’t even have to be a fan of her music, life choices, or her opinions or whatever to really hear that she has her own mind. Insight from a thick Miss is something I will always support. If you truly are more than just a body and a face, I will salute that EVERY TIME!
Of course, I am still ogling your body and face. Just facts. That all.
(Catch the full interview after the jump.)

Betting On Black: How Jojo Faked Being Black To Get Into Medical School (Video)
Man oh man! Shave his head and call him Jojo. Watch Vijay ‘school’ us on the Pochahantas Factor, faking Black to get in via an admissions back door, and pretty much everything that feels wrong yet Vijay felt it his right to do.
President Trump will end Affirmative Action like Lincoln ended slavery.
– Vijay Jojo Chokal-Ingam
And you know the cutie Mindy Kaling (from the Mindy Project)? This is her brother!
Damn. Well, at least Mindy does not seem to be as much a Trumpeter as her brother is implying that he is.
Paid In Full: Michael Che Writes A Long Overdue $1,000 Check To Tommy Hilfiger (Video)
Turns out America likes comedy about Donald Trump.
– Michael Che
Bwaahahaa! Michael is gonna catch a bit of heat from Boston for this clip, but they’ll get over it. And he got down with Hilfiger like that back in the day due to his tee shirt game? Nice.
SNL’s Michael Che takes a moment to finally thank Tommy Hilfiger for money the designer gave him to work for his company back when he used to design and sell T-shirts on the streets of New York.
– The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Hope that Michael’s Weekend Update show does well on Thursdays. Check it out next week on NBC.
Issa Rae Shares Her Excitement About Season 2 Of “Insecure” And Her Insights On ‘Hoery’ (Video)
I wanna spend some precious moments rubbing on Issa Rae’s beautiful skin.
Okay, it’s out there. Is that ‘awkward’ (and if so, does that boost the chances of making that happen)? I’m asking. The answer won’t change my desire to do so though.
Soooo, this is Issa back on the radio with the pre-Season 2 promo for her “Insecure” series on HBO. Well worth catching up on if you have not done so already (only two episodes down this season). Also, hear her addressing Regina Hall’s implication of f*cking her way to the top, insights on women and their hoe phase, and she ‘big ups’ some of her co-stars. Lots in this interview.

Issa Rae Shares Some Of Her Real-Life ‘Awkward Black Girl’ Stories And Talks About Her Her HBO Show ‘Insecure’ (Video)
Nice interview short Issa Rae did with Stephen Colbert as she was making the rounds promoting the second season of her acclaimed HBO original series “Insecure.” Have you peeped that yet, by the way? I am withholding judgment overall; some things going on this season I can f**ks with, other stuff not so much… But I am not sure if one of those not-so-much things will trigger a permanent Sunday night channel change for me. We’ll see.
Just had to get that off. Not even the main thing in the clip above.
HBO’s ‘Insecure’ creator and star Issa Rae isn’t equipped with an all-knowing omnipotence to answer any question that begins with ‘Do black people…?’
– The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Bwaaahahaaa! ‘Blaccent’ is gonna be my new word for a while. Girrrrrl!

Fashion: Chris Brown’s Crazy Sneaker Collection (Video)
Nah, son. We don’t even gotta go shut down a store to get ooh’s and ah’s from C Breezy’s sneaker game. Joe just showed up at the man’s house and they peeped the collection dude already has. Wow!
Chris Brown gives Complex’s Joe La Puma an extensive tour of his never-before-seen insane sneaker collection, talks about his love for Allen Iverson growing up and how he brought 1,000 pairs of shoes on tour.

Former Record Industry Exec Speaks On Suge Knight (Video)
Damn. By three minutes in former industry exec Virgil Roberts spilled that Suge Knight had the powers-that-be shook EVEN THOUGH Suge was NOT a true OG. Wow.
Well, he was around back when Suge was really reigning; and he is very forthcoming with his what-had-happeneds in the interview above. More commentary on that era after the jump.
(Whoa! He talked about the Vanilla Ice balcony strong-arm incident in this, too? Yes.)
Model Bernice Burgos Says Her Relationship With T.I. Was Mainly ‘Business, Never Personal’ (Video)
Bernice Burgos, the model (not ‘video vixen’ because she does NOT like that title) who has been placed at the epicenter of the TI–Tiny breakup quake, presented her case on the radio waves the other day. Kinda makes sense, since she is being tried in the court of public opinion for being a homewrecker for the most part. Speaking of ‘tried’… she spoke on (among lots of other things) her social media war with Tiny during the interview; claiming her online clap-backs were more self-defense than sucker punches.
I was shocked at myself, I’m very disappointed in what I did. Social media sometimes will put you in a place that you have to fight with people that you don’t know. I was listening to social media, so many lies, so many you this, you that, like wait a minute…
– Bernice Burgos
Havoc Speaks On Coming Up In Queensbridge, Mobb Deep, And Losing Prodigy (Video)
RIP Prodigy for real. And if anyone, ANYONE, should be heard on that, it’s Havoc. They have been through it in all ways – on the come up, after the Mobb fame wave ebbed, falling out with each other, squashing the beef finally, and then… damn.
After the untimely death of Prodigy, DJ Vlad sits down with his longtime friend and the other half of Mobb Deep, Havoc. Havoc details what it was like growing up in Queensbridge, their first rap names, and reveals Prodigy turned down a deal to work with him at first. The producer then goes on to talk about making their first album, Prodigy teaching him how to sample and them getting a deal at LOUD records.
Throughout the conversation Havoc discusses some of the milestones in their career from the ‘Hennesy’ shirts, creating “Shook Ones,” dissing 2Pac before his death, their beef with Jay-Z, and what it was like seeing Lil Kim write her “Quiet Storm” verse. Hav also speaks on the rumor of P choking on an egg and the cause of his death before looking back on the legacy that they left in Hip-Hop.
Listen to Havoc pay respect to his brother above.

Jada Pinkett Smith Speaks On “Girl’s Trip,” Relationships, Tupac, And Diversity In Hollywood (Video)
Jada Pinkett Smith’s book could be lit… VERY! Details on her movie “Girl’s Trip,” her relationship with Tupac Shakur, her drug dealing days… yep! She talks about it some in this interview, but is careful not to tell all.
Kool G Rap Speaks On Mumble Rap, His Album & Tour, And Respect For Sean Price (Video)
I don’t think much of mumble rap, I don’t think highly of it…so many things that young cats are doing have nothing to do with the roots of where this thing started from.
– Kool G Rap
Ah! This clip might sting a bit. See, Kool G Rap gets around to [more than] inferring that the surge in popularity of “mumble rap” is the listeners’ fault! Come on… There is a song called “Peek A Boo”… A cat is out here getting MAJOR check from a song called “Peek A Boo.”
Yeah. That’s where we are with the rap that the masses love out here today.
Damn.
(But hey, that new Kool G Rap is LOADED with features from LYRICISTS though… including Sean Price!)
Bun B Keeps It Trill On Making Music, Being One Of The Best, And Coming Back To Rap (Video)
Hmm. It has been a while since we’ve really, really heard from Bun B musically. His years in the game, and his time away, seem to have allowed him to draw some wisdom from it – how it was and is to produce good music, impressions of the kinds of music that have been in Hip-Hop since he got on and more.
When you think of Bun B, you automatically think Texan legend. Better yet, Hip-Hop legend. There is no doubt this former member of trill-setting duo UGK has made a lasting impression on the culture alone, creating timeless hit records. While at South By South West, HipHopDX caught up with Bun B to discuss his new album & Big K.R.I.T.’s involvement, the evolution of trap music, social media and his legacy.
– HipHopDX
Jigga had you thinking with “The Story Of OJ” (like “wow, he got that parole,” ha!), didn’t he? Okay, now watch and see how Bun B can get you brain gears turning with some trill talk; without a beat.

Meek Mill Speaks About Being In The Middle Of Several Beefs, Making Amends And Moving On To Being Grown (Video)
Alright. I’ll fess up: I barely listen to Meek Mill’s music. Got sucked into the non-rap related beefs & bullsh!t he was in and wasn’t even really a fan of any of that. But this interview… He sounds like a man who has been through some things, learned something from it, and will likely go through a little less of them. He mentions being 30 years of age, but I can tell you: The passage of years has nothing to do with attaining the wisdom they should give you. How to focus ‘thug’ energy on standing firm in the face of adversity (esp. that which you brought on yourself). Having realized that sometimes it is best to stay low instead of high posting all the damn time. Wisdom!
Of course, Meek is still about with the sh!ts. He starts the interview with some of that. But there’s less of it around to smell up the joint. Good interview!

Full Interview Of Treach Speaking On How He And 2Pac Came Up And The Aftermath Of The East Vs. West Beef That Got Stirred Up (Video)
You saw when we shared Treach talking about his homie 2Pac’s assassination and how it affected him on here, right? Well, that was just a tiny piece of the full interview… which we have embedded above for you today!
Naughty by Nature’s Treach sat down with DJ Vlad to talk growing up in New Jersey, transitioning from the street life to rapping, and what it was like experiencing the success of “OPP” and “Hip Hop Hooray.” Also having a close relationship with the late Tupac Shakur, Treach details their bond, what it was like at the height of the East Coast/West Coast beef and the reason he feels both BIG and Pac were assassinated.
– Vlad TV
Get some cereal, or lunch or whatever, click play and dig in. By the end, you will know why Treach and Pac were so close and what happened before the interview went so far left.
Angela Rye ‘Hates’ Charlamagne Tha God Most Of The Time, But Credits Him For Her New Podcast (Video)
Angela Rye (1) is VERY HOT, been sleeping on her cuteness and her voice; (2) is VERY WOKE, activism is in her DNA; and (3) is VERY much wishing Omarosa WOULD swing on her!
Yuuuup. All that in just the first 10 minutes of the interview. So, now, while I go find her podcast (On One With A. Rye) and subscribe, you should watch this interview. Awesome stuff!

Hear The Words Of Biggie, And Of Those He Influenced, In “The Life of Notorious B.I.G.” (Extended Teaser Trailer)
Notice how heavy the South’s presence is in this clip: 2 Chainz, David Banner… And the observations are profound. Good points and a good preview for the coming A&E documentary.
Listen to previously unheard audio of Biggie Smalls as the biggest names in Hip-Hop, including 2 Chainz, Mike Will, and T-Pain, talk about the late rapper’s legacy in this bonus clip from “Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.,” and tune in for the premiere on September 4th at 8 PM. #LifeOfBiggie

Skyzoo Speaks On His ‘F*ck It’ Moment (Video)
In this interview with Brooklyn-based emcee Skyzoo, he talks about leaving Morgan Stanley to do music full-time. Plus he has some projects in the works.
He hasn’t worked a ‘job’ in 11 years, and his mom and dad are his two biggest fans. Thanks to God and the pen. Such a dope interview. Another example of why our radar stays on Skyzoo alert!
(Even has some advice for other artists in this clip.)
Paul George Talks About Moving To OKC And Building With Russell Westbrook (Video)
They’re not looking at me as a Kevin Durant replacement, but as a new face of OKC.
– Paul George
Okay. That’s one in a roomful of elephants in the room. Paul getting along with former fiery (Paul’s word) opponent turned teammate Russell Westbrook (you know, the current ‘face’ of the Oklahoma City Thunder). That’s another. And ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski does ask about that.
The crazy sports universe and the buzz about as a result of all these pro ball league blue chips flipping (and landing). Wow. And a discussion about another Paul’s impactful move and the potential for another team’s championship run next season. We go from talking of CP3 earlier to talking about PG13, Paul George, going to OKC.
Similar lines of discussion laid out in this clip as in ESPN’s clip on CP3’s move from former to future team, too. And the clip above does ‘include’ Paul’s cute kid (like earlier in CP3’s) but we just see the child (and Paul’s wifey…nice!). This interview is all Paul. Good stuff.
Amber Rose Speaks On Her Life Journey From Poor Girl From Philly To Being Famous (Video)
People would be on the Internet were like, “You’re famous for no reason!” And I’m like yeah, I don’t f*cking know why. Blame yourselves.
– Amber Rose
You know her for the music videos and racy photos, being with Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West, the Slutwalk, and all that. And hate it or love it, Amber’s look… all that (platinum blonde ‘buzzcut’ down to that triple platinum Triple X butt)! And Amber talks about all that with the Drink Champs (N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN).
I know everybody may not be a fan of Rose. Some may even question why the Hip-Hop nation puts so much ‘shine’ on what she has to say (on some ‘your job is to just look sexy’ ish). Buuuut she is a prominent figure (pause, reflect, give thanks) on the Hip-Hop landscape. And buuuut that BUTTTT (even though it is not ‘featured’ above)!
Hahaaaa! Nah, but I do like to hear from the Honeyz and learn a bit about them, too. I do. Gives some insight on them. Watch this talk with Amber Rose. It won’t change your life. Not promising that. But it might just make you more thoughtful of Amber as a person if you thought ‘less’ of her some way.
(I like her voice, too. It’s cute.)
