Cracking “The Pyramid Code” Might Show That The Builders Of The Pyramids Had Technology Way Ahead Of… Our Time (Series Trailer)
Think we are more ‘advanced’ than those who came before us? Your first answer is, “Of course!” But are you really that sure? Advice: Don’t be so sure about how sure you are. More advice: Watch The Pyramid Code and see why should be a bit less sure about our timeline and modern technological superiority…
The Pyramid Code is a made-for-television documentary series of 5 episodes that explores the pyramid fields and ancient temples in Egypt, as well as ancient megalithic sites around the world, looking for clues to matriarchal consciousness, ancient knowledge, and sophisticated technology in a Golden Age.
Think for a second: Countless stones go into building a pyramid; each weighing, what, about a couple tons? You think a bunch of whip crackers, slaves and pullies got all that done back then? You sure?
Learn About Humanity’s Journey Out Of Africa And Into The Wider World In The “Great Human Odyssey” (Trailer)
Humanity started in Africa. We’re on the same page with that, right. Science!
But let’s go deeper in depth with NOVA’s and PBS’ help. How did ancient humans make their ways to all corners of the Earth; not only surviving Africa but leaving it and coming to thrive as distant disparate populations in the various regions in which they finally settled? HUGE question. And there are more that will be addressed in the “Great Human Odyssey” documentary (available on PBS, and now on Netflix).
Mars: To Boldly Go Where No Human Has Gone Before, Space X Will Need To Get A Lander Up And The Cost Of Relocating To Mars Down (Video)
Wow, so SpaceX is launching its manned Mars lander in 2020? Wow. The goal of ‘making humans a multi-planetary species’ seems kind of far out, and that is the point. Mars is the next planet over, sure, but it ain’t just “next door.” It is far out there.
SpaceX Founder, CEO, and Lead Designer Elon Musk will discuss the long-term technical challenges that need to be solved to support the creation of a permanent, self-sustaining human presence on Mars. The technical presentation will focus on potential architectures for sustaining humans on the Red Planet that industry, government and the scientific community can collaborate on in the years ahead.
– SpaceX
Interesting. Musk is the first big wig in space matters to address why we are trying to just go back to the moon… It is not a good candidate for terraforming (e.g. we cannot make an Earth-like planet of it). Watch the presentation above and read a bit more below.
VICE On HBO: Boko Haram & Unnatural Selection (Season 4, Episode 1) [Video]
The National Resource Center For Mutant Mice?? WTF?? Oh, wait, VICE is back for Season 4. Ohhhhh! Now, that does not explain it. But be damned sure that VICE will explain everything. We have the first episode of this season from the HBO investigative docu-series embedded above. Read the episode summary below.
The terrorist group Boko Haram is responsible for thousands of deaths in Nigeria. Now, the government is determined to drive these militants from the country. But is the hunt for insurgents causing as much harm as it’s preventing? Former Navy SEAL and new VICE correspondent Kaj Larsen travels to Nigeria to see what this cat-and-mouse game means for the people caught in the middle of the fight.
For centuries, scientists have been working to change the genetic traits of plants and animals. Now, the new gene-editing method CRISPR has made that process astonishingly simple – so simple it could easily be used on humans. Isobel Yeung reports from Brazil, Scotland, China and the U.S. on the technological advances that could reshape evolution as we know it.

Heck, the video we posted on here earlier already got yanked. Wonder if that means… Hmmm.

Science: LIGO Can Observe The Gravitational Waves Einstein Predicted Over 100 Years Ago (Video)
So, the genius of Einstein is on display once again. But for this bit of knowledge he posited over a century ago, he thought there could never be any real ‘evidence’ to confirm it. Black holes, the collision of black holes, resulting gravitational waves… all fodder for sci-fi books at best in the time of Einstein. Buuuuut…
When Albert Einstein predicted that two colliding black holes could cause gravitational waves in the fabric of space, he was sure to mention he never thought we’d confirm the elusive waves exist. But he was wrong: we did, in 1974, and now scientists are using a giant laser-based experiment called LIGO to try and observe gravitational waves.

“Marvel’s Inhumans” Series Debuts This Fall (Series Trailer)
I am already a huge Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan. And they prominently feature Inhumans on that ABC series. Now, they are giving them their own series. Doooooope!
There’s a whole world of Inhumans out there. Meet the legendary Royal Family in Marvel’s Inhumans, coming to IMAX and ABC.
Hey, if Disney/ABC cannot have Mutants or X-Men… Inhumans will do. Inhumans will do big! Plus, there is always Cloak & Dagger on Freeform (posted the trailer on here earlier).
Besides, the Mutants will be on Fox and FX with The Gifted and Legion.
